Schefter: Has Heard Speculation Colts might have deflated the footballs

This entire "investigation" has been all about speculation and VERY little about the evidence, wouldn't you think????

Yup. Which makes anyone trying to convict either side look very petty. Unfortunately, many Pats fans are all to happy to fall into the same trap the media did and then use the excuse 'that's what THEY did!!!!'. Freaking 6 year old logic.

I prefer to hold myself to the standards of plain 'ol common decency. I guess that's not for everyone.

Decency doesn't work when common sense and basic intelligence are ignored.

There is zero "decency" in clinging to a byline that by definition can't happen.

Perhaps we can supply the cross so you to climb up on and nail yourself to it.

That's the other part of your problem.

Until you start understanding how the two work, you're going to be stuck in the permanent hole you find yourself in.

Point out the evidence that proves the Colts deflated the ball, Inspector Clousseau.

Just because someone else didn't display decency or common sense doesn't mean you or I get a free pass to act like idiots.

There is no equivalence between a few fans here on a fan page speculating & venting about the Colts vs the entire national media trashing BB and Brady and the Franchise 24/7 for 2 whole weeks. And most of this after many illustrated in calculation AND experiment that balls naturally deflate in a T drop. This trashing occurred despite factual evidence to the contrary.
Get real.

I take a dim outlook on people who don't understand the difference between speculation and evidence.

Awesome!

More than a tad odd how you never mentioned any of your "dim outlook" for the 3 weeks of the Patriots being on the receiving end. No team in the history of American sports had more mud slung at them than the NE Patriots for 2 weeks before the SB.

****That's some world class selectivity on your part right there.***

Great, more excuses for bad behavior. Nice work.

Awesome!

And you are JUST NOW taking a stand on that after the past 3 weeks of the Patriots being treated like a piñata?

I would've been happy to tell the same thing to the dumbasses who were doing this two weeks ago but i don't have their direct line.

Is Schefter "acting like an idiot?"

What it boils down to is that ALL angles in the investigation should be examined and may the truth come out.

It should not end at the Patriots part in it. Everyone involved should be examined for it to be a complete and fair investigation.

I'm sorry that upsets you enough to all of a sudden proclaim your "dim outlook" when the possibilities widen to others.

Good one. Now you sound like Jerry Rice 'Oh, it just dawned on me......'

You had every opportunity to comment on this website and any others regarding the unprecedented mudslinging at the Patriots that had not one ounce (yet) of confirmed facts.

Your answer above is laughable and one sided. Are you are WWE Referee?

Someone needs to add "Speculation" to the name of this thread.

You should be better than that

;)

Did the Colts measure our ball? If yes, then yes, they removed air from it.

And here's the thing…are they allowed to do that? No one seems to be saying anything about whether they were allowed to check the balls even if they just innocently believed there was a problem. Shouldn't they HAVE to take it to the referee? Is that what they did? Does anyone want to shed some actual light on this because I can't believe that would even be allowed. What a joke.

Given all the radio ads you hear for it, I had to stop and think for a moment to realize which T you meant here. :p

Hmmm . . . .

http://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-pa...nthers-kicker-weighs-in-on-deflated-footballs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolina Panthers kicker Graham Gano can’t comment on what a deflated football might mean to a quarterback, but he did share this experience from a Jan. 3 playoff victory over Arizona.

Gano wrote on Twitter that he asked the official if he could check the PSI (pounds per square inch) after the initial check because the ball felt flat. He said the official told him he could not.

“I guess you can’t blame the official for that," Gano wrote on Twitter. “Rules are rules. Maybe the league will make some changes this offseason. Sucks kicking a flat ball tho."

To clarify, though, Gano asked the official, "Hey, can you check?" and the official said no.
