Text on Seahawks S Earl Thomas, who has a dislocated shoulder: "Earl will play in the Super Bowl, don’t even waste any time on the story."

I personally think he's their best player and the guy that gets things going. If he is hurt like this 2 weeks is not enough time to heal up. He's great against the run, our blockers need to drive his shoulder into the ground and bust his shoulder up. I don't condone injuring a guy, but we have to test his shoulder out. Same with **** Sherman, if he presses off the line hit that arm/elbow hard and get him off his game.

Thomas returned to the game. Did anyone notice if he was in great pain and if he had a lot of contact? If not I think he'll be ok.

As for **** Sherman, you would of thought his arm was broken in half the way he was writing in pain all over the field. If you're going to call yourself a warrior and such, don't act like you've just been shot every time the camera is on you.

coverage will be suspect......gronk and lafell deep middle

Of course they will play....HUGE game. GEt the pain shot 30 min before and get out there

they're crazy enough to play hurt ..... they don't realize how much the performance can drop off.....both sherman and thomas led the seahawks in snap count this season.

Having seen someone who dislocated their shoulder take a long, long time to recover I'm shocked that he'll be playing. But I guess he's got access to the best in medicine.

If I rememwbr correctly...he came back and had some strong hits on lacy too...and didn't seem bothered by them at all so...

He'll get his shot before the game. It's crazy to think it won't affect his performance however.

BEST CASE he'll be 85% most of the game. Same with ****.

To be fair, he must have watched a lot of film of Rodgers before the game.

I've dislocated my shoulder and it wasn't from taking a hit to an NFL player. I can tell you it hurt like a *****. Every time I put a shirt on it felt like a knife was jamming into the front of my shoulder.

He'll get the shot, but it only lasts so long. Get to the second level and punish he and Sherman in the run game

I thought I heard on 98.5 this morning that he didn't just have a dislocated shoulder but also a torn labrum? Was that just made up or was I hearing things?

if he did, it could be an injury that takes two months to heal. The pats should keep an eye on him and sherman during pregame to see how they are moving. If thomas can't lift his arm, then they should target him throughout the game.

I dont get the Sherman hate around here. the dude talks a ton of ****, but he backs it up. I saw the hit he took on his arm, mother ****er didn't miss a single play, he stayed in there, and Rodgers STILL wouldn't throw at him.

Stop throwing shade on the guy Id kill to have a guy on this team with as much heart as richard sherman has. other then the trash talk hes a patriot type player, at least he didn't get a paper cut and then sit out the rest of the game like Talib.

According to reports I heard (and therefore cannot link), Sherman needed help with his clothes after the game, because he couldn't use his arm, and Thomas was in enough pain that he was just sitting still, staring off and trying not to move.

Now, that came from the media, on the radio, so take it for what you think it's worth.

"Backs it up"? He's a flaming unsportsmanlike self-aggrandizing punk agitator. Being a good player does not justify his behavior. Give me Revis over that immature a-hole any day.

I would never advocate trying to injure another player - that's despicable and we rightfully call out players who've tried to do that to Gronk among others.

However, one definitely SHOULD try to conjure up a gameplan to take advantage of the other team's weaknesses. For example, Gronk was clearly playing on one leg in the previous Super Bowl - does that mean you try to target the leg and take him out? Hell no. Does it mean you no longer run double coverage on him? Hell yeah.

The physical limitations on their key secondary players and general lightness on the DL of Seattle gives us an advantage that we can exploit through our "heavy" packages and by establishing and pounding the run with Larget. That will reduce their effectiveness both by making them pay the price to play physically and stop the run and make play action more effective so that we can open up holes in the secondary.

Gotta feel good about our super bowl chances with these two injuries. I feel bad for them but not that bad. Nobody seemed to care when Brady and Gronk were in walking boots the week before our super bowl losses.

I'm a pats fan, but I don't have a problem with him. He has intensity, confidence, and he's a great player. Brady talks chit, too. We've also probably all admired kevin garnett at one point (different topic, I know)

you'd probably like him if he was on your team.

Without question, he is an excellent player. I hate his attitude toward others and the vitriolic crap he dishes out. Most of it comes after games and it's a surprise nobody has cleaned his clock because of it. There's no chance he'd ever come to New England anyway because he can't keep his mouth shut.

Yeah, no need to try to injure guys who are already injured. But if they are going to play hurt, you have to attack those weaknesses that are there cause of the injuries.

Basically I'm running plays at Earl Thomas all first half. Make him tackle, tackle, tackle. Make him use his arms. Make him try to take down Blount and Gronk with a dislocated shoulder.

Don't take cheapshots at him, but just wear him down.
