OFFICIAL POST-GAME THREAD - PATS v. Ravens

So I know I will get the hate for this but I would like JM to stick around and be the coach in waiting...

I wasn't in the game thread.

On our first series (maybe second) the completed pass that got reversed (on 3rd down). I know I'm not a trained expert, but there didn't seem to be proof enough to overturn the call on the field. that's one of those that could go either way, but stick with the call on the field.

I was glad to see Wilson and Harmon show up in the secondary. Particularly Wilson, who is proving any football obituary premature.

And my man McCourty! Waiting for Triumph to show up and claim he doesn't make big plays.

By the way: Anyone think Patriots win this game without Gronk? Me neither. Nice to have him healthy.

Obviously Im ecstatic that they won but the issues with the D not being able to stop almost anything needs to be fixed. Even if they had lost, that strike from Edelman to Amendola made my day.

He is no longer F*cko and is the antithesis of Manning. Iffy in the regular season and very good in the playoffs. I have been hard on the OL all season, but they really came through this game. It has also occured to me that without a threat of even handing the ball to a RB that the DL can pin their ears back.

I still want the OL to be upgraded but I realize that I have been too hard on them. Amendola just made sure he did not get cut this offseason. To the folks that are complaining about the Ravens trying to get PI calls. Its kind of a smart play...just sayin.

At one point I was jumping up and down celebrating the Edelman pass to Dola and almost landed on my grandaughter.

*****ing about the Refs is for losers. But as winners we can offer some observations on the officiating.

The Refs called a couple of ticky-tacky PIs. But they neglected to call PI on the defender who had pinned Gronks arms. How is that not a PI?

The Ref was sure when he called an Incomplete Forward Pass on what could have been called a Fumble. But why did he not then call intentional grounding when the ball was "thrown" at the feet of a Guard when Flacco was standing between the tackles?

What a game. Amendola played well, so did Brady minus the Interception. Defense has to play way better though.

Has Flacco earned any respect around here or is he still just Fluke-O
I would be qualified in my respect. Flacco is a Bizarro Manning, someone who is mediocre in the regular season and great in the playoffs. Don't forget that his regular season problems almost cost the Ravens a playoff berth. They had to back in with the Chargers' loss.

Weird to be a thing NFLN and Jamie dukes is talking about how great flacco has been in the post-season. Um, two late picks kind of ends that talk.... Right?

Announcers said there has been a rule change saying you can't use the ground to help you control the ball.

It still was a dubious reversal.

Painful when they were 3 and out after the first pick. They really spotted the Ravens about 14 points. I feel emotionally wracked. Kicking myself when they were down 14-0.

Somehow they pulled through. Hooray now do it twice more without giving me a heart attack.

Incredible game. Can't wait to see the lockerroom video later in the week.

I don't know much about Amendola pre-NFL but that's gotta be the game of his life. Good for him!

I think patsfanken predicted Amendola's big game during the week.

Defense better bounce back big-time next game. And the O better keep it rolling.

I've always thought about a potential Edelman trick play pass, but didn't think it would happen since it would involve taking the ball out of Brady's hands. I can't stop watching the replay on NFL.com.

Perfect time for it too. Crappy secondary, big playoff game and desperately needing to come back.
