OFFICIAL POST-GAME THREAD - PATS v. Ravens

I read uneducated comments like yours and it's clear you don't know what you're talking about. You think that "impactful plays" only result in sacks. How about against the run where Chandler's play tonight helped slow down Forsett later in the game..

Since you missed it, he and Ninkovich has numerous pressures on Flacco tonight, forcing him out of the pocket.. But yeah. You're right.. That's not impactful.. Neither was him knocking the ball out of Flacco's hand tonight and them calling it an incomplete pass when it was really a fumble..

I don't think they're just sacks but the way people talk about Jones I expect SOME sacks, that's not too much to ask for.

Against the run? For the most part the Pats run D was atrocious tonight, I can think of one time Jones made a nice play on Forsett but the Ravens were still running all over us tonight. Yeah it wasn't as bad as the first half but it's hard to be worse than what the Pats were then.

Also, that was an incomplete pass, but agree to disagree on that one.

And now we wait. I hope the Broncos are next. Everyone is saying they'd rather face Luck than Manning, but I disagree. Brady always shows up Manning and there is no indication to think things would be different now.
The next opponent that would approximate being as tough a Baltimore, imho, would be Seattle.

You know good and well that Don Shula is puking his guts out knowing that Belichick has always been the better coach. Shula isn't worthy to shine Bill's shoes.

I want Manning and I want 15 degrees or lower.

He has one move. That's it.

No. He doesn't have one move. But you keep telling everyone that. It won't ever come true, but you keep telling everyone that.

I've seen Jones do more than Bull Rush. He's got a speed rush where he dips his shoulder to go around the end. He's also works well on the stunts that the Pats use, when the play calls for them.. But, yeah.. You keep on claiming he's only got one move.

Like I said.. Far be it from you to know what you are talking about.

Price : Browner also said that he's OK. Laughing and joking again with the media.

The prospects of the Patriots being battle tested from this game can't be overlooked either, along winning a grinding battle like this shows the exceptional grit that this team has.

No team in NFL history had ever come back from 14-point deficits twice in one game, until today. This team is special in every sense of the word.

I bet they would have preferred to hold onto that play for next week or dare I say the game after that.

I don't know. If there's ever a time a "trick" play is most effective is when you score a TD on it and win the game by just four.

I'm not saying that Chandler is a bad player. I'm saying he's overrated. If he was the pass rusher a lot of people pretend he is, EVERY quarterback we face wouldn't be making sandwiches back there for ten seconds a play. Simply not possible.

QBs dont make sandwiches against elite pass rushers

And yes, he gets held a lot

Pretty much my opinion. He's good, but not great.

calling it an incomplete pass when it was really a fumble..

It really was an incomplete pass, I think. (A feeble excuse for a pass attempt is still a pass attempt, even though the Tuck Rule is no longer on the books.) But it was still an impactful play, just like batting down a pass at the line of scrimmage would have been.

I've only said it once, actually.

Nonetheless, you are creating two additional moves that he doesn't execute.

Why not do it every game? The more you show something like that, thhe mote you screw up the defense. Next time, maybe he keeps it and runs for 20 yards, because the defender drops into coverage on amendola.

So you give no credit to the O-line and TEs who were chipping Jones.. One of the BIGGEST problems with many of the fans on this board is that they are clueless about what constitutes a successful pass rush. They think it's just about the sacks. They ignore the pressures. They ignore the knockdowns. The Pats moved Flacco off numerous times tonight. They should have had a sack and fumble on the play right before the 2 minute warning because the ball was hit out of Flacco's hand. But you, Robertweathers, etc, want to ignore that.

I said they slowed him down.. I didn't say they stopped forsett. In fact, later in the game they were running away from Jones and at Ninkovich or running it up the middle.

AAlso, that was an incomplete pass, but agree to disagree on that one.

No. It wasn't an incomplete pass. You know why? Because Flacco had both hands on the damn ball when it was knocked out. Go back and watch the replay. You can "disagree" all you want. Won't make you correct.

Tavon Wilson made a huge 3rd down tackle too and it was a bone crushing hit. It got wasted as a 4th down conversion ensued, but still, it was a nice play.

I think we saw lots of unsung heroes/role player examples tonight who helped get this victory. Great to see!

Hooman, Amendola, Kline, Bolden, Harmon, Ryan, even Allen--with his ability to scoop up a couple of low snaps.

Awesome "team" win.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What a game!!!!!!

That was a rollercoaster! This team is resilient! When things weren't going well they never gave up! I love that! Great job Patriots! That Edelman to Amendola TD trick play was freaking awesome! :D

Now for the officiating. I was not happy with the PI call on Revis and the no PI on Mosley against Gronk. The overturned Amendola catch should have stood! I've seen that type of play stand everytime!. Shame on Dean Blandino and his goal post moving decisions.
