Pats players agree: Collins is a freak

He shows up after the pats usually lose. His name is iapatsfan. I usually see his posts in the political forum, but whenever the pats lose or aren't beating teams soundly, he comes and posts all his negative bs. He distinctly called Collins a bust and I believe the slowest lb in the nfl. The dude was an idiot

Around for a while...years? this year?

Well, you can believe what you want but we already have out on the highest and most absolute authority that Collins was a lousy pick and is no more than a back up in the NFL. They could have had Paterson, frigging Belichick sucks.

Why are people making all these straw man arguments. There was no virtually no one who had a problem with the Collins pick. In fact people liked him because we were going after an athlete a departure from years past.

Actually there were a number of well known posters who were very down on the pick.

Yes, but only because Tavon Wilson was drafted the year before.

Deus labeled Collins a bust at the time he was drafted and even went as far as saying that even if he made the Hall of Fame, he would still be a bust because he didn't fit an immediate need and the Pats drafted Tavon Wilson in the second round the year before (I still am trying to understand that logic).

But there were a lot of people who didn't like the pick. Most of the more rational arguments were that he was more of a project than a finished project and that he didn't fit the system (he didn't fit the system the Pats used to run when they were a 3-4 read and react defense).

The cause of these comments is not the quantity of people upset with the pick, but how vocal those few people were about it.

Some of deus's arguments don't make sense period.

There were some very loud disagreements with the pick.

The first thing I said was 'get me 3 more'

At the time he was drafted the pats d was pathetically unathletic

Not bad for a guy who iampatsfan labeled the slowest LB in the NFL. BTW, has anyone seen iampatsfan for the last three months?

Last time I saw that poster was in the Bills gameday thread, but he dropped out about midway through the 3rd.. I'm shocked that I didn't see him around here after the Packers won.

Didn't he predict that this team would go 7-9?

Collins is having a tremendous season.

I hope hes not a flash in the pan.

I would love to see Collins play on the EDGE on passing downs. The quickness he was demonstrating today really suits him playing there. However, he's so good playing inside that I don't want to sacrifice that part of his game. What a hellish situation to be in :)

Collins is turning into the type of player that other fan bases go "why the **** didn't we draft that guy" when talking about him.

Oh, if you thought his block today was impressive. . . .

Which generally runs about 30 days a month, not counting February, of course.

You are so much more openly insulting of Deus than I am.. so why don't you have Christiancat replying to every one of your posts that do so to scold you for being mean to "one of the nicest posters on the board"? :)

I really, really respect the depth of Deus' football knowledge, but I respect more the posters that are wrong 50% of the time and can admit it than I do the posters that are wrong only 10% of the time but will never, ever, ever, ever allow for the possibility that they are anything but infallible.

And of course, the more aggressive and frequent you are with your criticisms the more the people that you attacked for disagreeing with you are going to expect an "I was wrong" out of you.
