Does the 438 passing yards concern anyone? I know we had a decent lead that forced them to pass and we might have played a little softer, but he still had 178 at the half

No. With the current rules, Manning is going to get his yards. We were competitive in coverage all day and pressured him up the middle at key times. That's the best you can do. There will be no more 20-3 games like in 2004.

The team played great today as they often times do. Now if the Pats can play like they did today in every game than they should have no problem getting into the Super Bowl. You just gotta have faith and work hard and things will turn out alright. Nevertheless, the Pats won and it feels great. Congrats to the Pats!

Man, i spent the entire game on the reddit game day thread for a change today. Holy crap, it was hilarious hearing from fans across the NFL and it was CIVIL !!

one bills fan keeps cursing KC for unleashing the beast. Best post so far "Payton Manning blows big games" in the nationwide tune

:p

Link, pretty please!

Anyone else think Lafell suffered from not having a QB who could get him the ball regularly and also being missed used in Carolina

Ultimate Manning face.

Sure looks like it. He's been outstanding last 3 games! You can see he's got Brady's confidence.

I think it important to keep in mind that there were quite a few penalty yards and garbage time yards with almost no run game. Plus, it's still Peyton Manning.

Simms was talking about the Patriots' physical play. Given his playing background, I took that as a straight-up compliment, not as a veiled suggestion that the refs weren't throwing enough flags.

I also heard the announcers say that the Patriots obviously had more speed on the field than the Broncos. I loved that part.

anyone have gif of gronk catch

That's precisely what I was dropping in to post. Stork already looks like a legitimate starting center half way through his rookie year, despite missing so much of training camp. That's shaping up to be a mighty fine return on a 4th-round pick.

The Pats clearly had Stork in their sights, and knew where to get him, trading back a dozen picks or so. He was their guy, and he brings a toughness and physicality to the pivot that is sorely needed.

I don't know how you guys could wade through all those obnoxious Simms comments to find any gems. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd rather have been listening to Collinsdouche. I just wish Gruden could call every Pats game.

Cam Newton
50/50 running team
misused as a slot receiver.

Most everybody probably missed this since it was in the NFL Forum, but I thought I would pass along these pre-game thoughts from a New Orleans Saints fan. Interesting in my opinion, considering it is not 20-20 hindsight.

I think to a certain extent both teams have built their lineup to beat the other. BB seems builds his team to beat the best in the AFC every year, like adding Revis to combat PM. Tom looks a lot better in the last few games. PM always looks good, because he usually has great WR's - until he chokes.

I think you can define why he chokes though. It's because if you make PM one dimensional, he can't handle it. Kill his short or long game and he can't cope with it, I believe. While on the other hand Tom can adapt, and play well if you take out any part of the game.

Wind is going to limit PM game today , so I don't see him having a successful playing only the short game all day; he's going to have some interceptions.

If NE can get a run game going in the 2nd half , keep to short passes with Edelman, Gronk, with screens to Vereen. Using Bolden to power Denver's weak right side off tackle. It could be a runaway game with PM getting frustrated .

I believe Patriots are a better all around team , even though Denver has some amazingly talented pieces.

How about the Browner hit on Welker?
Loved it.

The NEW one :)

suck on that.....time for you 'experts' to WAKEY WAKEY!!!!
How about are own homegrown "experts". Perillo is the Lone Ranger (He's was OK in my book even before)

Hart, Scalavino, Gueregian, Manza Young, Capello and Reiss all showed no faith.

Nevermind, found it finally.
Boom

Oh, it wasn't Browner! I thought it was again lol

Quote of the day from reddit from a chiefs fan

I got home late. Watching Manning I was shocked. I thought I had some how missed the regular season and went to the playoffs.
