LaFell

Talking about Patriots fans. A lot of people instantly started saying he sucks when he went to Denver.

Meh not really. What I saw was people saying he was injury prone and tapped out of the biggest game of the year two years in a row

We gave money to the wrong Panthers WR. Steve Smith is looking incredible in Baltimore, he is their # 1 WR. Brady would have LOVED smith.
What makes you sure? The odds are that he wouldn't be able to " get on the same page" with Brady. The vast majority of guys who come here from elsewhere aren't able to. Now, who's at fault there depends on one's perspective. I've just seen too many guys who were very successful elsewhere come here and be useless. I used to always conclude it was the receivers' fault. Not so sure anymore. And I'm a huge, self-confessed Brady rumpswab.

LaFell had 4 catches for 46 yards today, if he does just that again every week for the rest of the season he would have 56 catches for 644 yards. I will take that. LaFell is not a huge concern, I am more concerned with Dobson being a healthy scratch, and Amendola being a non-factor. LaFell was not signed to be anything more than a #4 WR and a run blocker.

I agree. LaFell was expected to be a role player: our #4 WR, catch about 3 catches a game (his average), be a blocker and a red zone threat. The offense has not looked good, especially the OL. LaFell has been playing as expected.

On the other hand our competitors for #2 and #3 receiver are taking turns be inactive and playing with almost no production. We NEED to get much more out of Amendola, Thompkins and Dobson.

Our top 5 receiving threats are Edelman, Gronkowksi, Vereen, LaFell and Wright. We can win with this group if they all stay healthy, and Ridley stay healthy. HOWEVER, we should be getting much more from Amendola and Dobson.

BTW, for me, I'm OK with Thompkins. He is an UDFA in his second year, and is OK as our #5 WR. Thompkins beat out Boyce as a developmental wide receiver.

OK....tap tap tap........time's UP!
I have to ask why am I on your following list; I cannot think of a reason why you would be following me as user since you appear to disagree with everything I say. See Joker this is the problem with you and your use of this forum it is so insincere, you are not on here to talk about football you are on here to argue with people, create conflict, and disparage others. If that was not the case there is no reason on god’s green earth that you would be following someone that you clearly do not get along with.

I have placed you on ignore, I actually did it at 7am yesterday because I knew you would not accept my wager, so this will be the last post you see from me, but you need to remove me from your list of users you follow. Please do it before the end of the night.

Meh, yes really.

Meh, yes really.

So some homers said he sucked, big deal. We got some homers on here now saying Revis is bad. But most of the centrist fans opinion on Talib was he was very good when he wasn't injured.

I thought Talib was terrific here. My only negatives were his injuries at inopportune times and I thought his performance against Carolina last season was a little eye-opening. Steve Smith got inside Aqib's head big-time to the point where BB yanked him. But saying he wasn't good here is just not being honest.

And that's why they are homers.

I'm on your "followers" list? I don't even know WTF that is but I'll look in my profile and see what the hell is up with that. I don't care what you think about me or what you think I'm "up to". I don't care. I've never cared.

If I'm so "insincere" that you write these screaming mimi posts out of nowhere over something I have no idea WTF you're talking about, I suggest you re-read YOUR post telling the whole board about YOUR mental problems. You are hallucinating...again.

OK, I found this thing. There's a whole bunch of posters I'm "following"....how and why they are on any list is beyond me. I login, I read, I post. The rest of the bells and whistles mean nothing to me. I apologize for somehow having your icon appear on this "following" list. I removed it and now that I know about it, I will make sure it NEVER happens again. One thing I do not EVER want is to follow you for any reason. In fact, I worry that YOU may be following ME in real life. You're a psycho freak.

Stalker!

Can you believe this thing...whatever it is? Straight out of the Twilight Zone..

LaFell had four catches on 8 targets against the Raiders, and was targeted the second-most times behind Edelman. LaFell appeared to be where Brady expected him to be, and he got separation on a few routes. Brady was pressured on at least two of the incompletions. It looked like progress.

I wish I had a better understanding of why Dobson wasn't on the active roster, but maybe there's something with his feet and his ability to separate from defenders. A Dobson-LaFell pairing at outside receiver would be a nice way to open up space for Edelman, Amendola, Vereen, Wright and Gronk (who should have held on for that second TD.)

It feels like there's a lot for Brady to work with if only the OL would provide consistent protection.

That's what I am saying. The offense all hinges on the oline. If stork is the answer for center and Fleming somewhere on the oline I think we can field a pretty good oline

I am not a fan of LaFell! His penalties are a real problem. Amendola is nothing but a slot receiver, the same as Edelman. Edelman has an incredible ability to get open. Dobson can't stay healty. Thompkins has small hands and is slow for a WR, getting no seperation. Does Tyms have any rapport with Brady, or was he just a flash in the pan pre-season star. Tyms was Garappolo's favorite target against a bunch of guys that are working at Burger King now!

I did notice a particular play where Brady had time and stared down LaFell on the ride side. The entire Oakland secondary went to LaFell and Brady looked left and hit Gronk for a big gain.

I think the O Line issues are the problem and unless we fix the OL, its going to be a long season. I'm watching the Jests / Bears game and those teams will kick our asses if the OL doesn't get fixed.
