My wife and I are planning 7-10 day trip to Boston, New York this fall. I really want to see this game with great seats. I'm wondering if I should try to get the stubhub tickets now or wait? The only NFL game I've been to was the Pats Seattle and I really would like to watch Brady at home before he calls it quits.

Anyone here able to help me decide, We'll be coming in from Alberta so I kinda need to plan well a head.

Cheers and Thanks

If I am not mistaken season ticket holders have not yet received their tickets, so I would wait until after that happens in mid-July before attempting to purchase any tickets.

Also, check out SeatGeek.com - it compiles a search of all the major sites for tickets.

(H/T to PWP for info on that site)

I'll be unloading a lot of my seats in the next couple months.

But, my seats are hardly "great." ;)

Absolutely wait.
Supply is tiny when the schedule comes out, and demand bumps up.
A month before the game or so the supply is higher and demand is more moderate.

Thanks for the tip!

We actually found it cheaper or roughly the same price (with the added bonus of being on the list) to pony up the $200 to get on the season ticket wait list and then buy great seats at face value off the ticket exchange. I think we ended up on the 45 12 rows up at last years jet game. Those tickets are a fortune on sites like stubhub. Of course it's a risk that what you want may not show up on the exchange. But since we got on the list we haven't had any problem getting tickets to the 3 games we've been to.

wait until a month before..i will be at this game as well

The NFL Ticketexchange on Ticketmaster usually has a decent selection although prices are high. It's ironclad reliable. I've used it myself for away games. I agree with those who suggest waiting until about a month before the game to buy tix, including on Ticketexchange.

Since I live in Wisconsin...plan on wearing my Gronk jersey when i go to the games in Green Bay and Minnesota

Thanks for all the tips so far, I really appreciate it. My biggest concern is the cost to fly east with the hopes of getting a game ticket and falling short of a "nice seat." Am I worrying too much?

I think you will always have the option of buying a good seat, the only issue will be whether or not that good seat goes up a little in price.

In all actuality, you may indeed be worrying a bit much, since the reality is that even if the good seat you are looking for goes up, it would probably only be about a 50-75 dollar increase. Now, I don't mean to minimize that kind of money, but that's probably what your bottom line debate comes down to, and that's if both teams end up having very good records leading into the game, etc.

One thing's for sure though--the "nice seat" you are looking for will definitely still be available somewhere. It will just be about ponying up a little more in a worst case scenario.

You will definitely be able to get a nice seat on sites like StubHub it's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay.

Yes. Way too much.
See you here!

We have found that to be the best option and well worth the cost, although I did use Stubhub in the past and I didn't find the added cost to be that significant. There seems to always be plenty of great tickets available.

Thanks again for the information, my wife will give up going to the game, if it comes down to it, so I'll wait till later, a single seat will be much easier than two together. I'm hoping for roughly center and as close to the field as possible.... I can't wait!

For Jets/Pats in October you'll have to pay good money for those seats. If you want very good seats expect to spend over 250 for a ticket. It's to wait a couple of weeks before the game and snap them up.

$250.00 +. So far I have $585.00 saved in change, so I assume I should make out pretty good:D

you will be fine...if you were on the wait list you would be able to get tix for face value..but it's our little secret :)
