Odds of league disciplining Jets

The worse punishment they could give would be to force the players to keep playing for the jets.

Mangold will get far more of a fine. He has the double whammy of a fine for hitting a player late out of bounds AND hitting a player at the knee level. If he did either one of those, he would get a fine. Since he did both, he is going to get a significant fine (relatively). He will likely get a $20-30 range. Maybe more. Dashon Goldson got $30k for a head shot. A knee shot will get a similar fine.

I was only joking. I know he will get more. Hits out of bounds with and force rather than just a tap always get a big fine. As for it being at knee level that is normally legal in this instance as it was a tackle not a block although Goodell will most likely skip that and fine him for it anyway. I personally don't mind Mangold's too much, he was trying to make a tackle a piss poor tackle but a tackle none the less and he started when Talib was inbounds he couldn't stop mid dive. The other 2 deserve all they get gotta keep your cool.

What are the odds that the league will fine and or suspend Colon and/or Ferguson? And specifically Mangold for the blatant cheap shot at trying to injure Talib?

I think fines only. A whopping one for the moron who shoved the ref. A really good one for Mangold as well.

Hey -- if Colon is removed from the lineup, isn't that what you'd call a Colon-ectomy? When the league investigates what happened, it should include a Colon-oscopy. :singing::singing::singing:

Geez, hindquarters are quite the theme with those guys ... Buttfumble, bums and azzholes galore, etc.

I guess I just don't have the confidence that anything will happen of consequence. To me, there isn't a doubt that Mangold went after Talib's knees in a deliberate attempt to injure him. They fined Suh $100k. Mangold hasn't been singled out on this before but he has chopped block and low cut several in the past, including Wilfork. Let's not forget the little slap that Slaussen got last year for ending Cushing year. It just seems that the Jets get by with murder because of Goodell and that they are in a major market.

The precedent is set here. The Jests players will not be fined, and Belichick will be fined $500,000.

So just watching this again. Colon throws the ref out of the way (I can't believe he is only getting a fine for that). He then goes over to Dennard and head butts him and Dennard takes a swipe. Colon then appears to push another ref who tries to separate them.

The League is a joke if all Colon gets is fine and D'Brickhead gets less than Suh money for throwing a punch of punches at a guy on the ground.

Those are suspendable offenses, while Mangold can at least play the 'Duh, I no tackle good' card.

All the Green Beans should be fined and suspended. Including Wrecks.
