At this point Ill take Abraham. May be older but has more recent production.

Screw it, sign all of them.

Three intriguing visits today. Didn't these guys get the memo from Suggs?

If you can add a collection of decent players for pennies on the dollar, you add them all. Time to get greedy.

Get every good pass rusher we can find

I'd rather hear that Ed Reed is visiting!

This defense needs some savy veteran leadership outside of Wilfork and Mayo. It needs a presence in the Secondary as well as some experienced Pass Rushers. Wilson, Abraham, and Freeney would meet those needs.

They are all past their prime, and if they sign it will probably be for 1 year each. Maybe 2 with incentives, definitely nothing "long term" like 3 years. But the thing about the offseason is that teams can afford to "collect talent" as well as experience, put them through camp, and see who sticks.

No brainer.

Put me in for ALL THREE. Agree with a lot of the posts here. If they're relatively cheap, overdo it. High-class problems.

I just hope if we go down this route with Abraham and Freeney it doesn't turn out to be Shaun Ellis Mark 2.

Lets not forget James Harrison and Osi Umenyiora too. I want to build an unrelenting rotation of pass rushers who can get after the QB for 60min.

Give me all three of them with Abraham and Freeney signing cheaper, incentive-laden contracts. If Wilson doesn't sign, start targeting Elam/Swearinger in the draft.

Having too many guys that can rush the passer is never a problem. Sign him and Abraham both.

Shaun Elllis 73 1/2 career sacks with 16 forced fumbles. Freeney 107 1/2 with 44 forced fumbles and Abraham 122 with 44 forced fumbles.

Sign the beast and order a case of the cream and the clear for him.

Freeney, Abraham, Wilson, Talib and another CB

...wouldn't be a bad start to fixing the defense would it?!

Starting with the pass rush is a good move then move onto Talib who should be cheap given the CB contracts so far and the same goes for the other corner.

and hopefully Dennard isnt in the can come August, and maybe Dowling can stay healthy (yeah right.)

Not sure what he had left in the tank but maybe at 25-35 snaps a game he could be productive. I'd love to win a championship with a core Colt so I could laugh when they bring up AV.

I think Freeney's decline in production the last few years may have more to do with the Colts than him.

Last year, he was miscast as a 3-4 OLB. He is a four man front, hand in the dirt kind of pass rusher. He is not built for the 3-4.

The prior year, I think the fact that the Colts were so horrible on both sides of the ball hurt his production. They got blown out quite a bit and even when they kept it fairly close, they got down big early and rallied (see the Pats' game). That means a lot of teams were running the ball a lot trying to eat clock. Hence that Freeney didn't have as many opportunities to rush the passer.

Freeney was never a great run defender. He would be a pass rush specialist. I think he might have a rebound in his career on a team that will use him exclusively in a four man front and aren't playing from behind a lot.
