I pretty much wont be happy with anything but a TD to start the second half!

they just told the ravens .... we are intimidated by you

Jeeze, it's not like they're playing some crap defense. It's the god damn Ravens. The chances you're going to make any noise in 58 seconds is unlikely. Why risk it when you can start with the ball in the second half?

Moreover, can't we talk logically instead of using high school football slogans like "WE TOLD EM WERE INTIMIDATED."

Ugh. :bricks:

Okay, we are a second half team........ so 13-10 into the half is not a bad think. We have to make some defensive adjustments. Flacco at 122 passer rating is not a good thing.
Missed opportunities. Ugh.

Can anyone remember the last time Brady took a knee with a minute left and two timeouts?

That was the right call. Brady throws an incomplete pass, then what happens. They we run the ball on 2nd down get 3 yards. Then another Incomplete pass. Ravens get the ball in great field position get a FG, and you guy will b itch and complain on how stupid we were.

Brady missed an open Gronk

Welker stutter stepped and cost 4 points

BB failed to challenge a call, and that may have ended up costing 4 points

Despite all that, the Patriots take the lead into the half and start with the ball.

I'll take it.

Looks pretty obvious I was off on the catch. Mea culpa.

I don't know if they are or not, but BB better rip that offense to shreds at half time. The execution was pathetic. He should include the entire secondary in the ripping too.

Yeah i thought it looked like a catch on the slow-mo.

Nice.
I thought so too. Bad officiating.

I am not bothered by the kneeldowns though. Our offense is not invincible today and a turnover was more likely than a game-changing offensive TD.

He clearly didn't get the other foot down in boundsit wasn't a catch, i didn't think it was close. If it was BB would have challenged it don't you think
He gets his other foot down right after.

I see why they took a knee. They're up by 3 and they get the ball to start the second.

I am reminded of the vikings falcons 98 nfccg. Vikings tried to make something happen late in the half backed up. Turned it over and the Falcons got a TD rigth before the half.

Really don't like taking the knee, it shows a lack of confidence in the offence. With the best QB in football, around a minute left and 2 timeouts, trust Brady to make the right decisions.
I disagree.

If Welker had had a return of some yards, like ten or more, than they wouldn't have been so deep in their side of the field.

Too much to lose here doing high-risk stuff.

Calm Down Guys

2 Years ago between these teams in January the HALFTIME score was

Ravens 24
Patriots 7

With little to no chance to comeback against that defense......many Pats fans were already looking at the draft

Much better showing than last time already,a good half IMO

That's the thing that gets me: the Pats seem to do better on 3rd-and-short (more stops than you expect) and worse on 3rd-and-forever (fewer stops).

We play two completely different defenses in each of those situation, that's why.

Oh wow...never seen this all year.

It's the smart play....a turnover or a holding call would be a huge mo shift....you don't want to punt,there......this is now a field position game, imo:rocker:

the pats need to sieze the opportunity they have in front of them... your not going to get this chance for a very long time.... take control of the second half...

That was the right call. Brady throws an incomplete pass, then what happens. They we run the ball on 2nd down get 3 yards. Then another Incomplete pass. Ravens get the ball in great field position get a FG, and you guy will b itch and complain on how stupid we were.

Exactly. They made the right call considering the situation.

This has been a dream for the Ravens so far...winning the turnover battle, Flacco making big plays downfield, limiting the Pats' YAC. If they don't turn the ball over this is going down to the wire.

Definitely agree with them taking a knee here.

Not enough time and the field position was awful.

I think if they were past the 20 they would have tried to score. But not at your own 10 with 50 seconds.

I also would like to see a replay of Gronk's incompletion. During the play I thought it was incomplete, but on replay it looked like he may have had it.
