Mayo the student...Ray Lewis the teacher

If he learns from Ray on how to be the type of locker room presence

So we hope Mayo comes back from the Pro Bowl as a divisive locker room figure like Lewis is in Baltimore - a guy who believes and openly speaks of 2 seperate and distinct teams (offense and defense) in the Baltimore locker room and that he only plays for one?

i hope he teaches the good things to mayo and not the bad things (how to stab, stupid dancing, offense vs defense mentality).

The ravens have always been like that. They are like 2 separate teams on one team. And the media does not help by always kissing their Defense's ass even if they are past their prime and nothing like the 2000 team.

It was obvious in the Steelers game that the Ravens D had an attitude like they did some amazing job on Defense and the offense really let the team down (even though they gave up 31). It is beyond irritating.

I feel like their defense has no accountability and there is always an excuse. They are the Peyton Manning of NFL defenses.

I'm astonished about how much negativity there is about this story...Mayo can learn from the best MLB in the game, what's wrong with that?
Why do people automatically deduce from this, that Mayo will be learning the negative traits of Lewis? He will be learning how to play the game, I'm absolutely confident about the fact that he won't be interested in any negative aspects of Lewis' character...

I hope Mayo learns that although bringing a knife to a gun fight may be a bad idea, bringing a knife to play football is a huge advantage!

I am hoping that Mayo learns when it is game time, and if he can ascertain as to whether or not there are any canines in the household.

Exactly. This is a postive thing in my eyes. Everyone complains about making the defense better and this and that. Mayo is reaching out to the best MLB in BFL history maybe for some "good" advice and everybody dislikes it.

Every team has their issues on and off field but if there is some good to be taken from this situation, why not?

Mayo is the most overrated Pat IMO.

Doesn't mean I don't like him but....

I would hope that Mayo gets more out of this teaching than Darius Butler got out of his learning escapades with Deion Sanders

In Butlers rookie campaign he spent a lot of time in the offeseason studying and training with Deion Sanders and obviously it didnt help much yet....Butler may be the worst of our CBs right now.
