Could/Should game be changed to Monday Night?

Man I love watching snow games lol. I'm jacked for this game. The Bears haven't had as many as you might expect playing in Chicago. Just off the top of my head it seems like half the snow games you see on tv are at your place. Maybe it's memories from big Patriot games on national tv...I don't know.

We get more snow than you guys do since we're located near the ocean and the storms are usually much bigger feeding off the Atlantic. You guys are definately colder though.
Enjoy the game today, should be fun, I love snow games too.

Oooh, my mistake. I don't smoke and I know nothing about cigars (obviously). :bricks:

I don't smoke either.... I only know a Cohiba is a cigar from TV shows like Burn Notice.

I didn't "marginalize" people's opinions. I took what they said, weighed it against my post and subsequent posts, and responded in kind.

Again, you clearly made an assumption about why I started the thread and you were wrong. You just can't be bothered to admit that you opened your mouth without thinking first.

As for calling it like you see it, yep.. You do.. And you do it without thinking about it.. Leads to silliness.

Jeezus dude. You like to pick fights on the internet? I was ready to drop it, but clearly you want to go toe-to-toe.

Don't pretend like this is something new with you. You do this stuff all the time. You argue and ***** and whine and can never find a way to be agreeable with anybody. Frankly, I'm surprised longtime members respond to your threads anymore, because we all know how it's going to end. You're going to sit there and pick apart everyone's opinions and posts, pretending like you're the Grand Poobah of all things Patriots, while the rest of us "unwashed masses" have nothing to contribute to match your great insight and intelligence.

I was ready to drop this, because I'm not really an internet warrior. I don't really have anything to prove and I don't care to get into fights with people who start **** because they clearly don't have much else to do.

I'm not wrong on this one. I'm right. All you've done in this thread is shoot people down, and this isn't the first time. I redacted my post because, at first, I was going to post something similar to this, then I chopped it down to what it was for a few minutes, and then I said, "ah **** it, who cares". Apparently, you do. Like I said earlier, don't get butthurt about it. (I don't know why you are. Why do you care what I think?) I've gotten into stuff with dudes on this forum before and I'll be cool with them within five minutes. It's the internet. I don't know about you, but for me, this is what I do for fun when I'm not working. After I'm done with this post, I'm going to go play some NHL10 and I'm probably not going to bother checking this rather pointless thread again. What are you going to do? Hate me and never talk to me again?

Just relax. You had a silly premise for this thread, and people called you out on it. Move on.

Please feel free to respond via PM, or you can reply here if you feel you have to defend your honor or what not (I won't see it).

Are you sure about that? In the past when they moved a Sunday game to Monday night ( Ravens or Chargers IIRC) you couldn't get it outside the local area, even if you had Sunday ticket. The contract states "only games played on Sunday"....
It is on Sunday Ticket. ITs one of the sundy games.

You clearly weren't ready to drop it.. Otherwise, you wouldn't have responded again.. You are the one who opened his mouth and made silly comments. If anything, you are the one who decided to pick a fight here. All I did was respond.

More ludicrous garbage on your part.. I have been agreeable with many people. Instead of posting BS and lies, why don't you stick with the facts at hand.

Only the simple minded claim that I think or act like I am some "Grand Poobah of all things Patriots." Unlike those who do, I KNOW I am not. I know that I still have plenty to learn and try to learn something new every day. Instead of claiming to know how I act or what I feel, you should actually read what is posted and not what you think is posted.

You are the one who started sh!t with your initial post. You made an asinine claim and it was completely wrong.

Yes, you are wrong. Completely and 100%. You were wrong about why I started the thread. You were wrong about how I responded to people.

Just relax. You had a silly premise for this thread, and people called you out on it. Move on.

There was nothing silly about the premise for this thread. As I said, the premise of the thread was whether or not the game could/'should be moved to Monday night based on the weather report from yesterday about blizzard conditions.. Conditions that shut down parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. States that see as much or more snow than Chicago does. And I was viewing it from a safety standpoint of the players/team employees..

Almost no chance game will be cancelled. What is looking attractive is going under on the 38 point over/under line.

yea definitely. the easiest bet since the snowstorm game last year (against TENN) or the snowstorm game the year before against (against AZ).

Oh wait, what?>

Chicago has plenty of snow plows and salt trucks to do the job.

Blizzard in Chicago; Record snow from Rockies to Great Lakes

Chicago Mayor Michael Bilandic, who took over after Richard Daly died in 1976 and was seen as a caretaker of the office until Daly's son was ready, lost the Democratic primary to Jane Byrne in on February 27, 1979. The defeat was widely reported to be a result of his inability to keep the city open for business during this blizzard.

I certainly hope Chicago politicians have learned their lesson.

I took the train into the Game back in 2004 to see the Pats/Ravens. It was cold and rainy that night.. Unless they've changed their Policy, the train leaves at a certain time. Not a certain time after the game is over.. And I can remember asking whether or not the train would leave at that time (I want to say 7:45 pm since it was a 4:15 game) if the game went into OT and I was told that, yes, the train left at that time regardless of the game..
I think you were given bad info, or else they changed it very soon, that wasn't what I was told when took the train back in 2005. The announcement I have always heard was "30 minutes after the game ends". It's a special train, not scheduled service, making it leave at a given time makes little sense.

And I was stuck in Chicago (North Chicago actually) a few years ago in a snowstorm. They know winter there and how to drive in snow there. Snowy is not the same as unsafe, as long as you leave early and don't try to rush. I am sure for a 4PM game they were fine. The idea that they should cancel is somewhat over-dramatic.

I heard someone say that playing in the extreme cold is a health risk to both the fans in the stands and to the players for frostbite. The exact opposite is true. The players and the fans are at more risk during a 100 degree game during the summer than a sub zero day since people bundle up. The ability to take on the extreme heat is dicated by hydration which teams are unable to handle on a mass basis for the stands.

In regards to travel, the risks are higher in the winter due to traffic accidents.
