ESPN reports that only four previous times have two 5-0 (or better) teams faced each other. Never have they scored more than 20 points COMBINED. The previous record was set by the Pats over the Jets in 2004. The over under this week is 53 points, and with only one dominating defense playing, I think its safe to say that a new scoring record for such games will be set.
2004: Patriots (5-0) 13, Jets (5-0) 7
1973: Vikings (6-0) 10, Rams (6-0) 9
1923: Canton Bulldogs (5-0) 7, Chicago Cardinals (5-0) 3
1921: Buffalo All-Americans (6-0) 0, Akron Pros (7-0) 0
Its interesting how the top teams in the NFL have the best offenses, not defenses as in the past.
NE: Scoring #1, Offensive Yards #2
Dallas: Scoring #2, Offensive Yards #1
Indy: Scoring #3, Offensive Yards #3
