My apologies if this question is buried in another thread...but:

Did the Patriots know about this when they dropped

Rodney's salary by $900,000 a while back?

Makes you wonder.

Before I opened this thread I was thinking that the reason he hasn't been seen all week was becasue of the HGH. But you could be right as well.

That probably is the reason. There was an on-going investigation with Harrison and the Cowboys' QB coach. There was also a meeting with Goodell.

I'm wouldn't be surprised if they knew about this at least a week ago when they decided to give Asante a deal by promising not to franchise him next year in exchange for reporting right now. Of course I am speculating that there really is a deal like this in place since I haven't read an "official" announcement about this, though I really doubt there would be an announcement anyway even if that were the case.

It looks to me now, that the Patriots knew back in June that Rodney was going to be suspended, subject to an investigation by the league.

This is the reason Harrison,so passively agreed to
the salary reduction of $900K.....it was either that
or be cut.

I'm amazed that none of this leaked and also that
no one,I mean no one, investigated further the odd
reduction in salary. We were about $10M under the cap at the time and yet no one questioned this
oddball $900K giveback.

Very ,Very strange.......This really is the KGB of organizations....(and I mean that as a compliment

Harrison said it was all himself. his teammates knew nothing/werent involved so i would think the organization didnt know either. possibly the trainer who would be doing illegal matters

but,why the salary reduction?

This is probably Rodney's last year...this doesn't
make sense.

Harrison must have told the Patriots that this was coming......and also, like Stallworth, could Rodney
have been on the substance abuse list(1st offense)........and we didn't know it?

This is my conclusion.....that he was on the list already and the Patriots knew.

i've seen players in past take salary cuts to help the team.

hes been injured..he realized he was making too much and wanted to help the team and stay on it.

simple.
