He said Spygate was nothing and they did the same thing themselves. Told Ben to stop with the BS injury excuses.
Every team does things on the "edge of legality". That's why penalties get called.
The Steelers have been pompous and hypocritical for decades, but the initial wound was slit before, during and after the 01AFCC. Since then the Patriots have been spraying mace and digging their heals into it. You can understand why they're so salty and feel the need to over compensate for their lack of success against NE.
You already answered it. Bolded above. If am Roger Goodell and I truly care about the integrity of the game, I publish a list of examples of bending the rules so all 32 teams have a very good idea when it's treated like a downright infraction. Years ago.
Why hasn't he done it?
Remember that no-name guy in the Steelers secondary years ago who talked a lot before the game? I seem to recall we targeted him all game long, and then BB torched him in the post-game presser, saying that we'd seen a lot better players at that position before. I hope we see a similar beatdown on Sunday. Those guys just annoy me.
that was this game I think:
And don't even get me started on the play action fake. What kind of example are we setting for the children with that ****?
The Steelers are a team that I have tried really hard to like and respect, given their storied history, but the players and fans just get so butthurt at the Pats' excellence challenging their legacy that they just make it impossible.
The squealer fans are pretty stupid bunch. Soak up the moronicness of the squealer nation:
**** the Patriots
If we're not pushing the edge of the envelope we're not trying.
Red would be proud of BB.
(And if you're simultaneously a fan of Red and are all in a lather about NE being accused of doing things on the edge of legality, you have cognitive dissonance problems.)
Considering their team doc prescribed steroids and other drugs regularly to the team, I would say it's about the same now as then...How far has this organization fallen from the days of Chuck Noll?
