ummm...quite likely that she "pulled the goalie" to quote Bill Simmons in an attempt to salvage a relationship that had reached it's end. A woman can't "trick" a guy into not wearing a condom. The pill's not 100% effective, so if you're taking your chances with that as the only form of birth control, you get what's coming. In any case, Brady and his ex will be just fine.
