Buffalo has virtually zero cap space so he'll all but be a Patriot by the end of this.
Isn't that close to what Kearse got?
After he signs, expect to hear about the Patriots approaching Amendola to restructure that contract of his to something more incentive-laden in order to free up cap space. Hogan is a redundancy that, at the very most, will help the team as a bargaining chip to either lower Amendola's cap hit or cut him outright. At the very least the redundancy will be in place to provide the offense with an option that can get open quickly underneath in the event Edelman, Amendola, or both, sustain injury. We shall see.
I have the impression that Kearse was never really looking into the possibility of leaving Seattle. Hence the lack of rumors surrounding him.yup.......I think it comes down to Hogan filling the need better along with th elikelihood of being more productive here....Kearse can be noisy, also
the Pats will likely approach this when the timing serves them the best......Hogan does not contribute on returns, so part of Amendola's game is still needed......who knows ... maybe Amendola has already agreed to an adjustment
Boldin did most of his work out of the slot. He nowaday lacks the speed to be a true threat outside.Maybe throw in Boldin as an outside the numbers guy.
