well they can certainly beat denver in at least 1 game, which could help us with the number 1 seed.

I think the Chiefs are the team to beat there, not the Broncos.

Ivory to Jags....another career to die

More than 6 per hahahaa

Ivory is a beast glad to see him out of new york.
Forte is still available.

Draft Yeldon High. Plays well.

Make Ivory a top 5 paid RB.

I'm convinced some knowledgeable posters on this board could make better NFL GMs.

Only one problem with this analysis, and it's that's Yeldon was actually horrible last season, at least as an early down runner. Take away one 45 yard run and he averaged 3.8 yards per carry and was totally ineffective in short yardage. Yeldon looks like he has a bright enough future as a third down guy but they needed an early down thumper like Ivory. The Jaguars may have overpaid, but every contract looks like an overpayment right now because the terms aren't yet known so everything is based on totally fictional AAV.

Jags and Raiders will greatly improve next season

Come on Forte you want a ring New England is your best chance not Green Bay.
Green bay will get you to the wildcard.
Patriots will get you to at least the Divisonal championship

This will go like free agency went last year. Patriots won't make any big moves, may land a mid-tier guy or two like Sheard last season, will mostly extend their own guys. Fans will get mad, ignoring that the biggest splash last season arguably turned out to be a mostly unknown futures contract guy signed in February.

Dear god.
Lets just sign Blount for 1.5 or Anderson for 3 id go for the ladder.
Forte is pry looking at 4 at least

There are multiple ways to win a Super Bowl. The Broncos went wild in FA 2 years ago and they won a Super Bowl with a corpse playing QB. So I really don't want to see the "I can't stand it!" mocking anymore. Elway's strategy worked. I want some nice FAs (or trades) this year and will be disappointed if we don't.

@MMehtaNYDN
With Ivory gone, Bilal Powell comes into focus for Jets. ... But the Cowboys, Patriots & Ravens are interested in Powell, per league sources

Their best players were all homegrown except for Sanders and Ware. Thomas, Jackson, Wolfe, Miller, Marshall, Trevathan, Harris. All Bronco originals. Only a bargain basement Ware, Sanders, and Talib stand out as above average outside acquisitions who played a significant role. Elway deserves credit for building a team the right way, very similar to Belichick, drafting well and using free agency as a means to find unique talent, preferably at bargain prices, to fill holes that you haven't managed to fill in previous drafts, rather than as a shopping cart where you load up on name brands.

If anything, the 2014 Patriots are a better example. Revis, Browner, Amendola, LaFell, Blount, Ninkovich, and Chung (sort of) all played significant roles and weren't homegrown. But aside from Revis none of those were marquee acquisitions.

It's beyond stupid. They have no infrastructure to enforce it. Tampering and wooing is part of free agency. It is what it is.

I propose once a player is a FA then teams can talk to him (which happens now) Only at the start of the league year can contracts be submitted to the league for approval (which they do now,). If they want to add a provision that the player has agreed in principal with a team thus taking him off the market (which takes some of the sliminess out of the process) then fine. Simple.

They had no solid infrastructure to measure balls during the game, either, and no knowledge of basic science, but that didn't stop them from making things up on the fly.

No thanks.

Has anybody heard/seen any news about sanu or kearse?

I like Bilal Powell a lot and wouldn't be at all unhappy with him and Lewis as the running back duo, with White, Gaffney, and Bolden as backups.
