Foxboro cops: Pats' Chandler Jones sought medical help early Sunday

Well, given the apparent request for a mental status check and the class D reference, I'm thinking a narcotics OD is looking sadly more and more likely.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but it could have been something as (relatively) innocuous as:

Bones
+
Booze
+
Boo Boo (and too many pain meds when in combination)
=
Brought to hospital

I am going to say it sounds like he had an Ambien or similar psychotic event.
Like I said earlier he was probably having trouble sleeping due to pain medication withdrawal.

I don't see Ambien listed as a Class D felony on any of those lists.

Actually I was thinking the overdose may have been the pain medications themselves. It's one of the NFL's many dirty little secrets.

Considering the timing, Ambien is a likely culprit as well. I've heard Ambien overdoses can be pretty messed up.

It looks like its just weed. Which begs the question, how did he have a psychotic freakout from just weed? Must have been some really bad stuff.

If it's weed hopefully there's no suspension looming.

If memory serves, the class D comment came from the cop who went back to the house. He could certainly have seen the weed at that time.

I want to know what a Class D Delta is.
See what people said earlier in the thread. He probably said "delta" to make sure the person he was talking to understood that he really meant "D" and not a letter that sounds like D. And given that "Class D" is one of the classes of controlled substances in MA that is certainly a plausible interpretation of the phrase.

A cocaine overdose you are not getting released in the same day. Physically, mentally or legally. Look how long Lamar Odom was in the hospital. And no way in hell would he be physically ready to practice.

Lol if you have that serious pain medication withdrawal, you were abusing them already anyway.
You're trying too hard to find anything you can to make this look better than it is. Sucks, hope this doesn't hurt his career in anyway. Went to Syracuse while he was playing there.

Of course Jones may have just had some weed lying around the house and the cops found it even if its unrelated to how he got sick.

Ambien side effects include sleepwalking and not necessarily just around the house. No overdose needed

Synthetic weed(fake weed). Youtube it.

Lucky him.

Is that when you became a Jets fan?

Re: the dispatch call at that heavy.com link (I haven't listened to it -- taking the alleged quotes from it at face value). Two interesting bits:

So it appears they were calling in someone to do a mental status or mental health eval?

Anyone know what a "class D delta" is?

In any event, given the history of Chandler's brother, I don't think wondering/worrying if it is some kind of OD is unreasonable.
