I like the leap attempt....very Belichickian.
Why not send the leaper in for a block attempt. The extra point is a near lock anyway so why not use the "free option."......nothing to lose but a penalty flag that will ensure a kickoff into the stands instead of thru the end zone. If the leaper clears the center, he might tip the ball....but if he nicks the center....nothing lost.
This is one of those rules where the penalty is meaningless

But if he does block the kick, the play is nullified and they get a do-over, or go for 2 from the 1, so what's the point?
