How poor was the methodology used by the hired firm when they reached a conclusion/inferences based on the recollection of the PSI of the Footballs by Anderson when he admitted not writing down the figures.

Imagine when we were students and wrote a paper, admitting we didn't record the data at the beginning of the experiment then noting the data at the later point and reaching a conclusion.......

Mind boggling, sadly the scientific ignorance among will cause this simple point to be ignored.
look at the research firm wells hired. they are known to give out favorable conclusions to the people who hire them like the tabacco companies. independent investigation my ass.

If Brady is suspended the pats should just take a knee on every down in the first game. Totally ruin that opening game for the league in protest

No win the game to start this year's FU tour, but the fans should ruin the broadcast by being absent, no one shows up for the pregame show and teams playing in an empty stadium total embarrassment for the NFL's Opening Day Showcase.

There is zero chance he will be sitting out a year. Not worth worrying about as a possibility.

I stopped reading at newyork.cbslocal.com

Seriously though, if he gets suspended for a year I'm out on the NFL, probably for good.

I can relate to that.
I don't know if Brady would return from that, although with his competiveness he probably would.

I would regret leaving a BB coached team, although I would feel no remorse about turning my back on Bob Kraft, he hasn't earned my loyalty after not defending BB and TFB from the league jackals.

No, if Brady got a signicant suspension then at that point nothing in the NFL's future has credibility with me. The NFL would be dead to me going forward. If the Omissioner succeeds in legislating the Rats into winning a Superbowl then it is just static of no significance.

You know you're not going to stop watching football...
I'm not saying it will be easy, especially with the Patriots' run of success. I can't tell you what a pleasure it's been following this team. I see absolutely no resemblance between the Patriot team I've been watching under the the Belichick years and the Patriot teams described by the lowlifes that dominate the sports media.

That said, during the whole "replacement refs" fiasco, I did get fed up to the point where I stopped watching. I caved and came back once the real refs came back. However, I proved to myself that, if pushed far enough, I can walk away.

You will be hard pressed to find a bigger support of this team than I am. I thought cameragate was utter rubbish and wanted Goodell gone as early as back then. Now, with framegate, I'm at the point where either Goodell goes or I go. So long NFL, so long fantasy football!

Sadly, I doubt Goodell is going anywhere unless he's implicated in a Jerry Sandusky level scandal. So it looks like I have to go. I wish the Patriots all the best; I hope Brady fights the good fight to clear his name.

The NFL, and all those media scumbags and scumbells, can kiss my ass!

robert kraft needs to get off his ass and fight for his qb and his franchise. enough is enough.

I wouldn't be out on the NFL for good if it's a year-long suspension but I certainly wouldn't watch it this upcoming season. That said, if Garoppolo somehow came in and killed it, I don't even think I would last the entire season. I'm not sure you would either, to be honest. Anybody that has logged thousands of posts on a fan forum is a big fan of the game no matter which assclown is currently in charge of/running it into the ****ter.

I was almost as big a fan of the Sox until the organization made me angry enough to stop following them. I definitely could stop following the Pats if pushed to that, although I hope that won't happen.

"Tom Brady Gets Suspended For One Year".

Otherwise known as "Nothing we've tried before has gotten the Rats to a Superbowl, how about this?"

Why would you punish yourself by giving up football?
You lose, and no one else is affected at all.

Remind me, what Ben R's suspension was for having sex with a drunk & non-consenting woman in a public bathroom?
PBPF,

Have you written any analysis of the scientific part of the report? I'd love to see your take on it.

BS.

IF TB is suspended ... ALL 53 players come out on the field with only one guy out front (captain*) for the coin toss. BB tells the head ref, you let him take the toss and play or the other 52 stay on the sidelines too.

They can either make them forfeit the game and write off every single advertising $ or take their suspension back up their azzes.

Actually recognizing the suspension just empowers the insanity, try ignoring go-to-hell instead.

*TB for the slow on the uptake.

I think that thought is ludicrous, but I also think anything is possible with the lynch mob fever and The Dope as the judge and jury. He can appease the masses who have been calling for his head by just screwing the player, team, coach and owner everyone hates. And is also scared ****less of...

I was already on the fence about watching the NFL anymore, honestly. (I even posted about the idea of fan retirement a while back. The players get to, why shouldn't we?) I successfully swore off baseball and never returned after the strike. I even got to miss being involved in all the roid stuff because I was already done with the sport.

It is possible to stop watching a beloved sport given the right conditions. Goodell still being the commissioner is already heavily contributing to the right conditions. I think I need more than that to push me over the edge but a Brady suspension of a year would sure do it. (There's still time before the season for me to amend my thoughts on just quitting because of RG.)

I think the NFL will, one day, ultimately be surprised how many fans they lost during Roger's later years relative to what they gained when he began. Of course I'll be an old man by the time that happens and probably long sworn off the game at this rate.

What is sort of sad is Edelman and Gronkowski have defended Brady. Kraft-nada. Who knows more about the balls, Kraft, BB or those other 2? Yeah. Doesn't look good to me.

The only thing that Tom did was tell the equipment people that he likes the ball at 12.5-12.6 psi. That's all they have.. There is nothing that says that Brady told the guys to deflate the ball below the legal limit. Nothing at all.

true, but you still can't deflate footballs after they have been approved by the Refs, even if the dumb refs pumped them to 16 PSI and tom wanted them deflated by mcnally to 12.5 (which is in the legal range). tom should have gone to a pats official or the league to complain that the refs were overinflating them.

I cannot see a suspension, or at least one holding up if it is given.
We are talking about suspending a player because it more likely than not that he has a general knowledge that something that only had a more likely than not chance of happening.
If they proved malfeasance by the staff, and only more likely than not with Brady's involvement, you could possibly justify a suspension, but these findings only say maybe something happened, and if it did maybe Brady knew about it and maybe he wasn't even involved in it if he did know.
AndyJohnson you make a very reasonable and logical conclusion in your assessment, so you are clearly not paying attention...has anything in this thing been reasonable, logical, relevant??? Why would the punishment be any different???

beyond ridiculous

a little air was let out of a football, brady didnt kill anyone. josh brent still walked the dallas sidelines after killing his friend. wtf is wrong with the media in this dumb country?
I'll take it a step further and go what's wrong with our entire culture? Brady is a bootstrapper that worked his way up to the pinnacle of success. I can't see how any objective observer could not admire this kid. TO watch him be publicly pilloried is unbearable.

And who are the leaders of the lynch mob?

Goodell- a half wit, silver spoon who couldn't run lemonade stand and would most likely be unemployed if not for his family wealth and connections. A proven liar as per the Rice scandal.

A scumbag NYC attorney. It's mindboggling that people are eating up his "more probably than not" mealy mouth lawyer speak like it was Ben & Jerry's heroin chucks. I suppose "ready to believe is easy to deceive" but c'mon, how about a little bit of critical thinking and healthy skepticism.

Kensil- his ties with the NY Jets speak for themselves.

This has reached a Shakespearian level of tragedy. It's amazing and terrible how the media and the people running the show can make saints appear as sinners and vice-versa.

JE and Gronk are excitable parrots with megaphones. They'll fall in line with what ever TB12 does. If they say something dumb people dismiss it in 10 seconds.

Standards and expectations are much higher for Bob and BB. TB12 as well. They are leadership. The set the tone for the franchise. You can argue that what Bob says in some ways sets the tone for the league.

Every word they say means something. Need to be careful.

Wait! How can this be?
Why I remember Kraft referring to Brady as "like a son" and as "family". Surely he won't take this league front office attack passively!
