Brady could see up to 1 year suspension?? WTF

I stopped reading when Tuck Rule came up.

Oh boy...a league source. Can't get any more reliable than that...

“Everything is being studied, everything is being considered,” up to and including a yearlong ban, a league source told the Herald’s Armando Salguero.

Salguero wrote that, according to his source, “it would be wrong to dismiss such an extended and seemingly improbable length of time as the ceiling for discipline.” His anonymous source wouldn’t disclose the minimum punishment being considered.

Notice "up to and including a year long ban" is conveniently not in quotes.

Armando Salguero is not going to be the model of journalistic consistency when it comes to the Patriots. There's no chance the NFL suspends one of the faces of the league for an entire season.

Even if NO punishment is handed down for this, I will not watch another NFL event as long as Goodell and the NY Jets are running the league. To say this is a farce is an understatement; particularly in light of how the league let the Jets skate on the Revis tampering.

Anyone with 1/100th of a brain can see this report was a league endorsed hatchet job. Since it's "more probably than not" that the front office has an anti-Patriots agenda, this is no longer a legitimate sport and no longer watchable.

You know you're not going to stop watching football...

beyond ridiculous

a little air was let out of a football, brady didnt kill anyone. josh brent still walked the dallas sidelines after killing his friend. wtf is wrong with the media in this dumb country?

I cannot see a suspension, or at least one holding up if it is given.
We are talking about suspending a player because it more likely than not that he has a general knowledge that something that only had a more likely than not chance of happening.
If they proved malfeasance by the staff, and only more likely than not with Brady's involvement, you could possibly justify a suspension, but these findings only say maybe something happened, and if it did maybe Brady knew about it and maybe he wasn't even involved in it if he did know.

Well it would finally give me an excuse to never watch the sport again and move on with my life. So there's that I guess.

i honestly hopes more facts become uncovered in a court hearing or appeals process. specifically, did Tom order the deflation of those footballs? enough with this "more likely than not" nonsense.

The only thing that Tom did was tell the equipment people that he likes the ball at 12.5-12.6 psi. That's all they have.. There is nothing that says that Brady told the guys to deflate the ball below the legal limit. Nothing at all.

Remind me, what Ben R's suspension was for having sex with a drunk & non-consenting woman in a public bathroom?

How poor was the methodology used by the hired firm when they reached a conclusion/inferences based on the recollection of the PSI of the Footballs by Anderson when he admitted not writing down the figures.

Imagine when we were students and wrote a paper, admitting we didn't record the data at the beginning of the experiment then noting the data at the later point and reaching a conclusion.......

Mind boggling, sadly the scientific ignorance among will cause this simple point to be ignored.

Indeed, they only suspended him after multiple incidents... And I believe it was ultimately only 4 games.

idk about that. i sure as hell hope not but nothing would surprise me when it comes to rodger -ucking goodell. he shouldnt get any punishment let alone a entire year. im so done with the nfl. the only games i will ever watch are patriots games. they can take the rest of there wwf crap and stick where the sun doesnt shine.

I stopped reading at newyork.cbslocal.com

Seriously though, if he gets suspended for a year I'm out on the NFL, probably for good.

I wouldn't be out on the NFL for good if it's a year-long suspension but I certainly wouldn't watch it this upcoming season. That said, if Garoppolo somehow came in and killed it, I don't even think I would last the entire season. I'm not sure you would either, to be honest. Anybody that has logged thousands of posts on a fan forum is a big fan of the game no matter which assclown is currently in charge of/running it into the ****ter.
