The Published Wells Report.

I mean, once again, what's in this report that isn't pure conjecture that supports a conclusion that the Patriots "probably" did something wrong? I mean did Wells actually go to law school?

Knowing my own text message feed I have to say i don't put much stock into two idiots bantering on text message. But I guess everyone else does.

Remember that the Dolphins report screwed over Incognito largely based upon text messages that were not only clearly busting balls, but went in both directions.

The whole house of cards is not built on the ball PSI. It's built on the text messages. Every assumption they are making builds off of those texts.
We knew this was never going to come out fairly. Once the texts were found, they were doomed. Joke, no joke, it's too late now. My only thought for the future is "burner phones".
Probable suspension for Brady, a fine for Patriots. Suspension will probably be past the 1st Jets game, because that's the point of the whole thing isn't it?

Beginning of what? Discipline for TB12?

You can't discipline a player that "probably" did something.

Even a Cro-Magnon like Goodell wouldn't do that.

I wish you were right, but you're not. Brady's out games for sure.

Goodell says Troy Vincent will now be in charge of handing out any punishment to the #Patriots and anyone involved

Of course they would.

Didnt the official state that the Patriot footballs "started" at around 12.5 and the Colts around 13?

Well, take a look at that chart of PSIs at half-time and take away that .5 starting difference between the two teams.

Looks awfully similar to the Patriots numbers.

Sadly this will all be be ignored. no one is going to pay attention to this or fight the report because it implicates brady. if it was the other way, people wouldve gone deep in the report calling it fake.

Can't we just fire McNally?

That game was in Indy so the Patriots would not have even had the balls after inspection.

Trying to remember -- who keeps the bags of balls and gives them to/receives them from the officials during the game? Does each team have their own person or does the home team provide both people?

Nice dude....jimmy needs some kicks....lets make a deal.....come on help the deflator

Bird = McNally.

May 2014 text is somehow a smoking gun?

"While I respect the independent process of the investigation, the time, effort and resources expended to reach this conclusion are incomprehensible to me. Knowing that there is no real recourse available, fighting the league and extending this debate would prove to be futile. We understand and greatly respect the responsibility of being one of 32 in this league and, on that basis, we will accept the findings of the report and take the appropriate actions based on those findings as well as any discipline levied by the league."

Kraft just swallowed it. THAT IS SO SPINELESS !@!###

Tampergate , net benefit, 100k fine.
Deflategate, swallowed all these ******** and accepting the possible punishment.

He is just a businessman, loyalty, integrity and community my ass.

It won't matter the context those two nimrods were texting about.

It will be used to paint Brady negatively.

Did Wells use all the maybe/probably/could have/plausible to avoid being sued? A lot of what he's insinuating is libellous and with him being a lawyer he knows the best ways to avoid him actually being on the receiving end of a multi million dollar lawsuit.

He couldn't say physics/rogue employee because Goodell didn't want that and he couldn't flat out say Brady did it because he would be sued out of his home.

Chill buddy im just ****in with you ....im not going to espn........yet

2nd Text that we're supposed to take to mean that McNally was going to blackmail the Patriots (before deflategate ever happened...)

I was wrong too. Much worse than I expected. A conviction with no evidence. I hope Kraft knew what the "punishment" is before he made his statement. I am disappointed that he said the Pats will just accept the report and move on, particularly where Tom Brady is thrown under the bus. What a crock. Right now I am boycotting all NFL games other than the Pats, and if they are punished, I will boycott their games too.

This is essentially Wells arguing a case for civil court. It might win. It might lose. It's not convincing if you think about it from one angle. It's damning if you think about it from another.

I don't get that text though. Who is Jimmy?

I never said it was the beginning of "discipline for TB12".

But the issue in general is not "over" as was fancifully stated.
