Moss Conference call

Moss opened with a statement:

“How’s everybody doing? Thank you all for taking your time out, for patiently waiting. I don’t think you all understand how excited I am to be a part of this organization. I think their record and what they’re about speaks massive volumes. I’m just very, very happy to find some happiness and getting back to what I love to do – that’s play football and going out there and compete.”

At the end of the conference call, Moss was asked about running a 4.29 40-yard dash in front of Bill Belichick.

“The Moss of old is back,” he said. “We’ll leave it at that.”

I love that last one:
Can you give us an idea of what the new contract looks like – is it still two years left in length, and how much was converted to incentives, do you have incentives?
No, I'm not here to really discuss my contract. All I want you to know is how excited I am to be a part of this organization. I think a lot of things have been said, probably over the last week or two about the draft coming. Am I still going to be in Oakland? What team am I going to be on? that really kind of bothered me because I really didn't know my fate. Not knowing my fate, that really scares me. What it scares me into doing is working out, getting my body conditioning, so whatever team I get on, that hopefully I can showcase my talent. Luckily, it was the New England Patriots. You all are going to see some things you haven't seen before, and when it does happen, don't say I didn't tell you.

Being a Marshall guy, do you know Troy Brown and did he have any impact on you when he was there?
I’ve always considered myself the second best receiver to come out of Marshall. Being able to play with a Troy Brown, and what he’s done for the organization – and I know Troy is not an individual, and I know they don’t live off individuals – but you see what he’s done in the past and his Super Bowl experience, his punt return against the Pittsburgh Steelers. There are things I love in the game that you have to pay attention to. Troy being from Marshall, me being from Marshall, like I’ve always said, he started the trend of guys going into the league from Marshall and I just wanted to continue that but at the same time just enjoy myself and have fun.”

All hail King Randy.

Geat interview...Said everything right...and said it in a way to get me excited about what we are getting here.....this is no rook...this is one of the best recievers in NFL history and he is confident, healthy, in top shape, and ready to get his first title.....this is AWSOME.

I just needed to read this again and thought I would share with you all...again.

I feel like a kid in a candy store....

A motivated, healthy and confident Randy Moss is very good news if you are a Patriot fan. It's probably about the worst thing to hear if you aren't a fan of the Patriots.

Oh, man, he had me at 'Marshall'.

Awesome Moss Quotes

"I have a microscope and my microscope is very big."

"I know Troy is not an individual"

"I know Tom is not no individual."

The call is also on patriots.com if you want to listen to it.

You know, actually listening to the call makes a big difference. You can hear the weight that's been lifted on his shoulders. He sounds like he's really happy and I think that's going to make a difference. :rocker:

I love the part where BB is about to expound on Troy's role next year and then some media idiot cuts him off. What an A-hole.
