Cowboys: no idea
Seahawks: Have the cap to do it but Wilson will go from 600-700k to 18-20 million soon so they are taking chances with their 2016 cap situation

2017 would likely be more screwed.

Hardy won't sign long term and Wilson's cap hit will also likely be minimal first season to keep 2016 competitive and let his cap hit the seasons with more cap space.

wilson, sherman, kam, earl thomas, wagner, bennet, avril, lynch, wright, jimmy graham, AND GREG HARDY?

and we couldn't afford revis? how can the hawks afford all of those players? only wilson is on a rookie deal? lmao

So he's a nutcase, and regardless of what the NFL determines, is a huge risk to employ.

I'm gong to start hoping the Patriots sign him now, thanks.

are saying you, you dont care you cant stand it? also they havent signed Hardy and I doubt they will

Buy low another team who may be at the end of their rope with a super talented but incredibly childish player is Justin Gilbert.
Who knows with D Mac, Patricia and Belichick maybe they can get the kid to play to his potential.
Both players are still on rookie contracts barely dent the cap.
You could offer Mayo clears alot of cap, Admendola I love him but we need a secondary.
Or offer a mid round pick.
We could have two very talented head cases at dbacks on rookie contracts who could be molded into a formidable duo.
What say you?

What about a trade for Morris Claiborne, was wildly talented coming out of school but has been a disappointment for them.
We have done deals with Dallas in the past and they would no doubt move him for a third or fourth.
Think the idea is worth a bump.

Because they have zero depth.

Because "Chose not to actually lay out the cash" and "Couldn't afford him" are two wildly different things...

(Granted, Sterling has improved as a player and is a solid #3 CB but...)

@RapSheet: Then #49ers visit RT @EdBouchette: Ex-Cowboys CB Sterling Moore will visit the Steelers Tuesday. UFA after Dallas declined to tender

The state of the CB market: Sterling Moore gets to take 3 team visits and could get 3-4 million a year.

Trade Trade Trade for a defensive back.
The Rams, Browns, Cardinals all teams I would look to strike a deal with.

Damn does bill plan on putting 53 players on the field next season, there's nobody left in free agency.

We have 8 picks going into 2015 draft.

Too bad it's a weak draft class, and if a team is relying on 8 rookies to have significant impacts that's a disaster waiting to happen. I'm not panicking or anything just been an odd start to free agency. I know it's how they operate just don't see how the team is going to improve with the number of key losses and nobody really left to fill or help fill those roles.

They'll rely on rookies to fill holes, which is all they need and can do at this point. The core of the team is in place - and in spite of Revis departing, there is still a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Don't forget we get a pro bowler in Mayo back, and Easley basically amounts to an extra 1st round pick going into next year.

I respect your opinion just don't really agree. Mayo playing a full season at this point would take some major luck, and nobody knows if Easley can hold up throughout the season, would be great if both can but if history tells us anything there's a lot of risk for both players. Talent in the front 7 is there, is it enough to carry a weak secondary, I have my doubts. Still early though will see what happens.

@davebirkett: DT Tyrunn Walker said he was offered a 3-year deal by the Patriots. Took a one-year deal with the Lions instead.

I'd debate how weak the secondary is. I think we're all expecting it to turn back into pre-Revis pre-Talib days, but don't forget that the secondary started to improve when McCourty moved to safety. In fact, Talib played banged up and even missed time, and the secondary fared OK in his absence. It's not top of the league, by any stretch, but we've won a lot with less.

The losses are starting to really pile up for the Pats:

Revis
Browner
Vereen
Castillo
Ayers
Vince

That's a lot of talent leaving and not much coming the other way.

As of today, the Pats defense is:

Niko, Jones, Branch, Jones
Hightower, Mayo, Collins (nothing wrong with that front seven)

Dennard, Butler, McCourty, and Chung (YIKES!)
