Brandon Marshall to the Jets

The JEST still suck, but they could be decent depending on their offseason:

1. Trade for Marshall
2. Sign Revis (please no)
3. Sign Hoyer
4, Draft Fowler

The AFC East could end up being a strong division.
We have been kicking their ass for how long?
TB is still playing Great
Gronk and JE are healthy
We have solidified our OL and it should get a boost this off season.
We just won the superbowl.
We have a great group of pass catchers all on TB's page for the most part
The best LB Corps in the league.
If Revis returns one of the best DB groups in the league, even without DMac
We have some picks
Not worried.

Your division rivals are desperately trying to dethrone you. Miami is most likely gonna acquire Suh

Jets - Brandon Marshall and going after Revis
Bills - McCoy
Dolphins - Suh potentially?

The other AFCE teams are being active.

Yeah, the AFC East is starting to wake up. Going to be very competitive this year. Bills are SB contenders (on paper) if they can get a QB. If the Dolphins get Suh their defense is going to be dominant. Tannehill made some strides last season too. Pats can't fall behind, need to re-sign our guys.

Let's not act as if Marshall is not an elite receiver because he is. If he was on the Pats with Brady he'd be putting up Demaryius Thomas numbers. They better lock up Revis and DMac or i will not be happy.

Need to keep the secondary intact and that includes mccourty now. We can say the jest suck but u can make the argument they outplayed us in both games last year. The afc east is getting stronger each day.

This has been going on a long time. It will continue to be a problem for them until TB stops being TB.

Marshall cares more about being close to New York for his TV deals, than playing. More wasted cap space and lost draft picks for the Jets!
Marshall doesn't really have a choice unless I'm missing something.

How long before Jets trade for Johnny Manziel? They would HAVE to make the Jets this years Hard Knocks.

Jets - Brandon Marshall and going after Revis - losing David Harris, wiped out their coaching staff, finished 2-14.
Bills - McCoy, lost Spiller, lost Orton, no Alonzo, new coaching staff, ate up 16m in Cap
Dolphins - Suh potentially?, lost Gibson, lost Hartline, will lose Starks and Odrick if they get Suh

The other AFCE teams are being active.

FIFY

They are being active and it will be interesting, but are you really concerned about any of them dethroning New England?

Marshall gets a lot of credit for admitting to his mental issues and being open about them. He also gets a pass for still acting like a cancer and giving up on his team when things aren't going well. I just don't get this move..

(If the JEST can find a QB that isn't the worst in the NFL)

1. Pats 12-4 to 14-2
2. Bills 9-7 to 11-5
3. Dolphins 8-8 to 10-6
4. Jets 7-9 to 9-7

Well I think this might be the year we see another AFCE team in the playoffs.

The dolphins are the team I will be most concerned about if they get Suh. Without a QB though they are unlikely to take the division from us. Wel it makes for something to talk about which is always nice this time of year.

Right now (assuming the Jets don't get Revis)

Miami > Bills > Jets if things unfold like I think they will. Also I don't think the Jets will suck. They could easily be 7-9 or 8-8 with a few more moves.

Exactly. Geno Smith? lol Plus remember a lot of the problems we had with the Jets were Rex Ryan. He is gone. I am more worried about the Bills...and I am not that worried.

I agree. We'll still be the best team at the end of the day but the East is certainly trying hard to improve their rosters. Yet some people think every move by a division rival is laughable and no concern. I'm not necessarily pleased to watch talented guys filtering into the division and will be a bit alarmed should Revis end up w/the Jets too.

Brandon Marshall ensures that he will extend his streak of never playing for a team that made the playoffs.

The afc east wont be a cakewalk. It never is and especially this year. I wonder how long they will wait on revis to make a decision

Ian Rappaport just tweeted that he heard it's a 5th Round pick for Marshall. Nice deal for the Jets.

I hope they do draft Fowler. I don't necessarily think he'll be a bust in the pros, but he won't live up to a top-15 selection. He'll get by on versatility, but nothing about him stands out athletically, and that's not at all what you want in a top-15 pick. I'm pretty confident that Ray will move back up to #1 on everyone's DE charts once he has his pro day, and rightly so. I also think that Dupree and Beasley will be better than Fowler in the long run, Gregory has a much higher ceiling, but he scares me a bit- strikes me as kind of a boom-bust pick.
