The 2015 NFL Combine Thread

@nfldraftscout: #Raiders fans still mad that I mocked Kevin White to you instead of Amari Cooper?

@Roddoliver: @nfldraftscout It's so Al Davis to justify WRs rankings based on a 40-yard dash.

Couldn't agree more. A team will be out of their mind if they draft White over Cooper.

White is different to Cooper. I wouldn't separate them. White = Julio Jones, Cooper = Reggie Wayne

Jaelen Strong made some money today.

After watching Winston I would want 2 first round picks for Garoppolo. All he needs to do is steal a HCs wallet to complete this performance.

I was trying to think of who Cooper reminded me of....that is a really good comparison that you made. Mayock keeps talking about Parker as well, any thoughts on him?

I just think Cooper really is something special as a WR from a route runner/technician standpoint. I'd go a step higher to Marvin

I just can't see how you can pass on him.

Haven't really watched him. Think he goes top 15 though. We're probably looking at 5 or 6 first round WRs: Cooper, White, Parker, Strong, DGB and maybe Perriman.

You should check out Tre McBride sometime. So far, McBride and Odell Beckham have almost identical numbers...Beckham had outstanding 3-cone and SS times though.

Thanks Manx!!!!

The fastest 10 yard split last year and this was 1.50. Tre McBride had a 1.51. Just hope he puts up good 3cone and shuttle.

@AlbertBreer: Saw Mariucci on Jameis Winston. That meshes with this -- a number of teams have been blown away with his football IQ in the interview room

@McShay13: I'm surprised at how surprised people seem to be re: Jameis Winston's off-the-charts football IQ.

This type of talk is getting annoying.

off the charts football IQ= Throwing 5-6 WTF throws each game.

off the charts football IQ= complaining/whining to your HC

It's nonsense. A QB with that type of in game IQ doesn't make those moronic throws into double coverage.

i think it depends on what you need. If you need a possession receiver, you go with Cooper. If you want a no1 receiver who goes deep and gets in the end zone you go with White. I can see Cooper suiting the Raiders and White suiting the Jets for example.

Jameis is a red-shirt soph. He's immature. When you go into a program that gives you everything; girls, cash and even crab legs. You get entitled players. TB12 hadn't even started a game yet after his red-shirt soph season. If Jameis gets on a team that actually coaches him, he'll be fine. If they give him the keys Day 1 and say it's all yours. Might be trouble.

chris conley 45 " vertical...

David Johnson just tweeted that he jumped 41.5" and 10'7" Phew on the vertical. That's Jerick McKinnon, Lache Seastrunk territory.

So, when Goodell gives the Patriots the Jets first round pick as part of the Tampering punishment*, do the Patriots make sure to get Kevin White?

*Hey, a man can dream....

You know they'll trade down. Dante Fowler or Shane Ray if I had to pick.

I like the Tory Holt comparison for Cooper. Very, very smooth.

I'd take White, personally. Not based on his 40 time, certainly, but based on his size and physicality. Split end > flank receiver in my book. I didn't expect him to be this fast - that's just a bonus. Daniel Jeremiah had compared him to Julio Jones based on his tape, and I didn't expect him to have Jones' ridiculous athleticism.

@DougKyedNESN: A scout told me Jameis Winston's shoulder is "bad." Categorized as a long term issue, not short term: http://t.co/DW53RmoX9j

I still can't get over the idea that Winston will go #1 overall.

-Goofy release
-Bad decision making
-Questionable attitude (whining to his coach)
-Questionable off the field

and now this

IMO, a QB with bad intangibles is like a WR with bad hands: all the athleticism in the world doesn't matter.
