The 2015 NFL Combine Thread

Max Valles 6'5" 251#. Shortish arms (32 5/8", same as Bud Dupree). 9 3/8" hands.
Bernardrick McKinney 6'4" 246#. 33" arms, 9" hands.

Love the long arms on Obum Gwacham and Danielle Hunter.
Valles is going to be a player that rises up boards especially now that he is over 250lbs.

@MoveTheSticks: I'm not all the way on board with the Scherff hype. He gets beat a lot in pas pro. Maryland game was rough.

Marcus Hardison:

Right now my dream would be Gurley - Hardison - Marpet with the 1st 3 picks. I'd like to pick up an EDGE player in the late 3rd/early 4th, so I'm hoping for Max Valles or that Hunter falls.

Drugs #fingerscrossed

I just read that Gurley refused to let the combine doctors examine his knee, that could send his stock into a tail spin.

Marcus Hardison 6'3" 307#, 33 1/2" arms, 10 3/8" hands. Good numbers. 4# lighter than the Senior Bowl, which should help his numbers a bit.

Ellis McCarthy 6'5" 338#, 34 1/8" arms, 9 7/8" hands.

I'd love to get Hardison on day 2 and McCarthy in the 4th round. A lot of size and athleticism with that combination.

I don't know about a tail spin, but it won't help. It's understandable that he was nervous given that the medical exam apparently injured Tyler Kroft. But given that medical update as the #1 issue with Gurley, it can't help.

1 (or with a trade back). Todd Gurley, RB.
2 (maybe with a small trade back). Marcus Hardison, DT/DE.
3a (with a trade up). Ali Marpet, OL
3 (comp). Max Valles or (wishful thinking) Danielle Hunter, EDGE. Maybe Obum Gwacham.
4 (TB). Ellis McCarthy, DT/DE.
4. Best available OL. Maybe Jamil Douglas or Bobby Hart.
6 (TB). DeAndre Smelter, WR.

What a dream that would be.

Saw a report that teams were expecting it and are fine.

He must have been hanging off something because his arms were 33 1/8 at the senior bowl. Longer arms = drool. remember, he's taller than Hardison (just) which really surprised me at the time.

Just a reminder for those unaware:

Lynden Trail: 6'7", 269lbs, 34 7/8" arms

Close to perfect size and might even project as a TE. Will be interested to see how he performs this week.

Goldman isn't doing drills. So disappointed.

Edit:

FSU DT Eddie Goldman is giving the media a history lesson in great NFL DL's and their traits. Very impressive.

BB will like that.

Ali Marpet's official time was 4.98. Only guy to run sub 5.00. Bitonio was 4.97.

Probably, but they can't all rise. Valles is way underrated IMO, but it would take a huge jump for him to become over-valued.

Nick O'Leary 4.93 with a 1.78 split. In other words he's barely quicker than Ali Marpet at 50lbs lighter.

4.9 for Maxx Williams? Wow.

4.81 for Maxx Williams. That will cost him.
