But if the Colts knew that the Pats would get their balls inspected at halftime without warning, they might have over inflated their footballs to make sure they would be legal at half time. It could be why Luck played so bad.
It seems that Grigson is worried that the Wells report is going to put him in a bad light and trying to get ahead of it.
