Earl Thomas Dislocated Shoulder

Yeah, no need to try to injure guys who are already injured. But if they are going to play hurt, you have to attack those weaknesses that are there cause of the injuries.

Basically I'm running plays at Earl Thomas all first half. Make him tackle, tackle, tackle. Make him use his arms. Make him try to take down Blount and Gronk with a dislocated shoulder.

Don't take cheapshots at him, but just wear him down.
If you go into the game with an injury and the opposition knows about it, I 100% expect the opposition to target that area. I would expect opponents to do it to the Patriots and if it helps you achieve your ultimate goal, so be it.

The Pats can take shots at Thomas's shoulder and Shermdick's elbow without them being "cheap."

Without question, he is an excellent player. I hate his attitude toward others and the vitriolic crap he dishes out. Most of it comes after games and it's a surprise nobody has cleaned his clock because of it. There's no chance he'd ever come to New England anyway because he can't keep his mouth shut.

"Backs it up"? He's a flaming unsportsmanlike self-aggrandizing punk agitator. Being a good player does not justify his behavior. Give me Revis over that immature a-hole any day.

ohh boo freaking hoo. If you honestly can say you wouldn't want Richard sherman opposite revis you are out of your god damned mind.

Brady talks just as much trash on the field as Sherman does. Richard Sherman plays a Diva position and he plays that position well. he was obviously hurt sunday and he played through the injury when his team needed to, he could have thrown in the towel but he didn't. Get off your high horse.

I'm a pats fan, but I don't have a problem with him. He has intensity, confidence, and he's a great player. Brady talks chit, too. We've also probably all admired kevin garnett at one point (different topic, I know)

you'd probably like him if he was on your team.

Very true, just like Rodney Harrison and Brad Marchand.....you love 'em when you are on your team but can imagine how much you'd hate them otherwise.

You obviously love the punk and demonstrate a similar lack of class in your posts. Figures. Now, go take a running jump.

I honestly would not be surprised to see Thomas inactivated for the game (against his wishes of course).

But if he does play, I expect his effectiveness to go downhill after a few good hard hits.

So like, do you need help getting up on such a tall horse or what?

Never mind that. Tell us all what Sherman's jockstrap smells like.

I wouldn't know.

I guess respecting a player that plays hard, Keeps his nose clean, and plays through injury is a bad thing now a days.

But go on, keep calling him Shermdick, and talking more **** then Sherman himself does. That hypocrisy looks good on you. I think you may have been hanging our some jet fans far to much.

I respect the fact that sherman came back in...it is a stark contrast to aqib talib sitting on the sidelines with a BRUISE....but, I still think it will limit him/thomas and I still think Sherman is an @$$

What deg dislocation? We know?

Having seen someone who dislocated their shoulder take a long, long time to recover I'm shocked that he'll be playing. But I guess he's got access to the best in medicine.

Actually I have a friend that I play soccer with weekly. He pops his shoulder every game and we just pop it back in. Resumes play. Maybe different types of dislocation?

Mel Gibson used to pop his shoulder out on the reg in Lethal Weapon, before kung fu kicking the living daylights out of heavily armed South African drug dealers. And, seeing as the extent of my medical expertise is what I've seen in 80's cop movies, I'm pretty sure Earl Thomas will be fine. And probably lives in a trailer on the beach....

I'm not advocating intentionally trying to hit an opponent in an injured area, but I'm also not advocating the intentional avoidance of that type of contact. Tough s### and screw'em. They'd do it to us with smiles on their faces.

Really? He continued to play last week with the injury. He's the best safety in the league, and it's his shoulder, not his legs. that's injured. I would be really surprised if he wasn't active.

I'd say another pass to Solder would be a good test. Let Thomas try to tackle a 6'8", 320 lb mountain of a man with that bum shoulder.

I was going to respond to the below post, and so will respond to yours in a similar way:

In that soccer doesn't require tackling. It's one thing to run into another soccer player and have your shoulder pop out, but it's completely different to put your whole weight and strength into tackling and bringing down, for example, Gronk or Blount. Tackling puts an enormous amount of stress on your shoulders.

The alternative of course, would be to try and use your good shoulder to hit someone or at least try to dislodge the ball but as we all know, that is a hit and miss proposition. If you miss, you are out of the play just like that.

Didn't Brady dislocate his shoulder against the Giants (2nd SB) and keep playing?

The Erin Andrews interview was pretty professional. When I was watching it live I honestly thought he was going to punch her in the face.
