The Official Patriots vs Jets POST Game Thread

I take it this is about TB yelling at his new rookie receivers. I'm sorry if he hurt their feelings, but it wasn't the first time TB has yelled and it won't be the last time he yells at them. When the ball hits you in the hands your suppose to catch it, if you run the wrong route one time your suppose to run it the right way the next. This isn't college its the pros.

BTW maybe he should have spent some of that yelling for the GM who stuck him with Three rookie WR's.

Not everyone thinks a participation trophy and an "attaboy, everyone's a winner!" is the way to go. Belichick called him something like "the best leader I've ever seen".

But their self esteem...It's very fragile at that age.

Reflex - Brady was also yelling at himself tonight. There was a piece of video where Brady clearly shouted that "He was ******* open" and he missed on that throw which was probably the ball he underthrew to Dobson on the right sideline.

As I said before, it would be a lot different if Brady was not hard on himself but he is and if he is as hard on himself as he is on others, then that is by definition being a leader.

Our special teams continues to stink up the place--we desperately need a spark there to flip the field once in a while. We have neglected that aspect of the game for years. Why the heck is Blount returning kickoffs? I hate how NE just ignores it since they think Brady will drop 50 every week.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. The special teams hasn't been neglected. That's just BS on your part. Maybe the Kick Return game has been neglected (which it actually hasn't) but to say ALL of special teams has been neglected is just erroneous on your part. In fact, it's an outright lie.

There are actually 6 different special teams. There is the Kick Return, Punt Return, Kick coverage, Punt coverage, Field Goal Attempt and Field Goal Block units. The Pats have regularly added players here. Slater, Gostkowski, Mesko, Tate and Edelman are just a few names.

As for why Blount is returning kick-offs, why don't you ask Belichick. I'm sure he'll tell you. I mean, a 25 yard return is just so bad, right?

He jumped the shark tonight. There have been signs but this may have been it. The best QB ever, yes but we have not developed any receivers in years and years and you are seeing why. Well now this is all we have. Screaming, pouting and sitting by yourself doesn’t help. You saw his body language, his slumped shoulders when he went out. He wrote this game off. Good thing the defense came to play.

If anyone say Vince on the NFL postgame you know what I mean. He was over the moon and said something to the effect that he was delighted to see an ugly three point win because in the past they could win by 40 but didn’t know what to do when it was a close game.
Brady post game was more depressed than Rex. Hey Tom, your TEAM won.

"He wrote this game off"? You mean the one that they were winning and won?

He made Welker, resurrected Moss' career. I think he wants guys who work as hard as he does. Branch was awesome with Brady then fell off the face of the earth. Same with Givens. Edelman is obviously a stud. All developed by the Pats.

Why am I responding to a troll? Somebody stop me before I post again.

Brady didn't MAKE Welker. Welker was already a damn good receiver before he got the the Patriots. He was able to showcase his talent because of the Pats offense.

Other than that, I'll agree with what you said..

I loved Pissah's original quote but I can't find it. Yours is dandy too.

I absolutely love when they catch swearing on the team and the announcers have to act like it didn't happen.

The question is how did Mangold NOT get ejected?

Because I don't honestly believe that Mangold hit Talib with the intent to injure. I think the ref figured that Talib made his move to dance OOB a split second after Mangold launched himself so, as someone just mentioned, gravity did the rest.. It was still a late him, but not with the intent to injure.

I wish I could 'like' this twice'.

Now back to important matters. The Jets truly suck. And are not nice people.

And I hate twitter. # Twitter sucks.

I remember Bill Parcells was insensitive to the feelings of one of his receivers, even implying he was a she. 90 catches that year. Sorry, this isn't T-ball where everybody gets a trophy,

That Lombardi guy didn't know what the hell he was doing, either, apparently.

Matt Mulligan sucks!

Now back to your regularly scheduled rants! :p

My post-game reaction? We beat the Jets - AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAHHHHH!

Like I said at the end of the last game. Get use to these type of games. The D is going to have to carry the Pats O for a bit. And they're doing a fine job so far.

i saw live the game on tv on dark night and Edelman was awesome , smply awesome

also defense was deserving my bravo ! Chandler Jones showed a lot and Dennard, Talib, Arrington were so good

2-0 !!!

not bad at all...don't you think ?

Today's game was brought to you by the letters "D" and "W".

:rocker:

Ya, Tommy was heated tonight..

"Talib picked off an underthrown Geno Smith pass in the final minute to essentially ice the 13-10 win for the Pats. Instead of immediately going down, Talib hung out on the field for a few seconds before stepping out of bounds. Even after stepping out, Jets lineman Nick Mangold decided to dive at the defensive back’s legs in the kind of dirty move that could cause serious knee damage. Talib seemed to avoid an injury, but his coaches and teammates on the sidelines were ticked off at Mangold’s play."

You have to be a major douchebag to do what Mangold did with the game OVER. I was THERE,just got back. I find THIS????????????? You SAW this on TV and thought..."aww shucks...nice hit"....WTF is the matter with YOU??? Really? That hit was as reprehensible a scumbag play as ANY dirty hit by Adummycon Susan.

In the stands as it happened the entire crowd that was left went nuts. I'm soaked and from the looks of it, going to be very disappointed with all the armchair head coaches tearing this DIVISIONAL WIN apart..

Brady's body language reminds me of the 2006 season where he constantly had a face like a smacked arse.

He needs to chill out. Yes, you're frustrated, but these kids will be all the better for playing early and often, rather than sitting on the bench and getting cut in two seasons.

Maybe venting has value, you get it off your chest and can focus a little better. Maybe 1 minute later you say "sorry guy's had to get that off my chest, now let's do this"

Walking around in a meditated state of bliss is some new age BS, not sure it translates into "W"s for everyone. Last year TB gave a heated speech to the team after a tough game against Jax and people on here said the same things. Bad leader etc... well we shut out Miami 28-0 the next week.

After the 25th huddle saying "we can do this let's go guys, championship drive" drop, drop, miscue. At some point most people will show a level of frustration, yelling, hands in the air etc... He's just being human and probably more patient than most QB's. People calling him a bad leader because of a few camera shots need to chill.
