I learnt a few years ago that trying to predict what BB will do is a futile exercise. Whatever we think we know about him changes, just look at the 3 cone time for WRs. Normally we think its important, but Dobson had one of the worst at the position. Then he comes back and take Logan Ryan with one of the best 3 cone times. What you need to do is just make up your own mind and have some fun with it. You will still be horribly disappointed when they don't take your guy, but the whole process is a lot more enjoyable.

BTW, if we got Wilson and Lattimore I would be over the moon. Add in my guys Williams and Williams in the 7th and I would be able to completely forget about the Harmon pick.

Yup. For next year, I'm just going to focus on evaluating players and leave it at that - haven't done too badly in that area so I'll stick with that.

Bearing in mind that TV won't be announcing a lot of picks, can I suggest that there should be no problem with "tipping picks" today. It's not that I want to particularly, it's just that I think its unavoidable.

Green Bay have three 5ths, two 6ths and three 7ths. They'd make a good trade partner for this 4th rounder.

I'd like to trade it considering the number of decent WRs still left and the fact that it's early and teams are re-setting the board. Think the only two players I wouldn't trade it for are Lattimore and Patton.

I was just looking at them as the best trade partner. Maybe 102 (and possibly one of the 7's) for 122, 146 and 159. It would be a small points win for us but with the number of picks GB has I don't think it matters too much. I would be pretty happy if we could make 6 picks today at:

122- WR (Rogers, Patton, Stills)
146- OL or DL (Jones, J. Williams, Okafor, Faulk, Fragel)
159- RB (Lattimore, Taylor, Franklin, Barner, Ellington)
226- Marquess Wilson?
229- MLB- V. Williams
235- TE- M. Williams

I would say your discovery of Terron Armstead before any of the scouting outlets jumped on him shows you have a pretty good eye for it.

This fourth rounder should give an indication of what BB thinks about all that great talent left, at least as far as fitting with the Patriots.

If he doesn't take your binkie, after taking the "reach' with the late three bookend pick, you can assume he doesn't see the fit here.

Of course, there's still talent left, there's the 7th, bu that's just sweeping up.

WR
Lattimore

Profit

Arizona interested in dealing Hoyer, Browns interested. Mallett deal unlikely.
-Rapoport

That is comedy gold.

Too bad he didn't discover Harmon

Not 4-7, but a UDFA:

Lawrence Okoye Draft Profile

After witnessing Okoye's workout at the Super Regional Combine at Cowboys Stadium, NFL.com and NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks wrote: The British Olympian was the talk of the event after putting together a spectacular showing on the turf. Checking in at 6-foot-6 and 304 pounds with 34 1/2-inch arms, Okoye blazed the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds and posted impressive numbers in the vertical (35 inches) and broad jumps (10-foot-5). Those are ridiculous numbers for a guy his size, which is why scouts certainly are intrigued by his talent and potential as a developmental project. (The 21-year-old finished 12th in the discus at the 2012 London Olympic Games and is an accomplished rugby player, but he's new to the game of football.) Now, based on his positional workout, Okoye does have to make significant strides before he's ready for the pro game. He looked a little tight in his turns and transitions, and he didn't show explosive change-of-direction quickness in drills. Still, scouts will take a chance on Okoye as a late-round prospect/priority free agent based on his sheer size, strength and athleticism.

Okoye might be worth a 6th or 7th because there's a chance he will be hot property come UDFA time.

I would be surprised if they didn't trade the #102 but if they don't I'm obviously still hoping for another WR, but i would be happy with Okafor, J. Williams, or Lattimore, or for that matter anyone who seriously pisses off triumph, Captain Stone or the other guys who believe their ability to pick players after they have been in the league 3 years makes them more capable than Belichik.

There are Edelman upgrades out there as well; Swope, Sanders, and possibly Vernon.

Edes is an established player. These kids may appear to have more upside and likely one or more do but Edes is a very good PR. Serviceable slot backup and I thought did well as an emergency nickel back, covering and laying the wood. He's so cheap that replacing him with a rook is not a cap issue.

I'm still confused about the whole Lattimore thing. He's a very determined individual and this is 2013 medical science, I thought AP's comeback would help his stock. He'll be back.

So a team will get a hell of a person and the best RB in the draft in rounds 4-7, sign us up!

i hope we can scoop up vernon in the 7th i really like what ive seen from him but we might not need him if we get patton at 102

Lattimore said that we were one of the teams putting the most effort into him. I think he had a late workout with Ivan Fears too.
