I always had some respect for the Colts teams when Peyton was there, as it was always a good rivalry.

Sure, 2006 sucked for us, but so did 03 and 04 for them. I never viewed the Colts as anything I could ever really "hate."

I actually applaud them for being able to turn things around this year, as they are playing very scrappy and tough.

That all said, I will puke if the Pats don't win on Sunday, as it is still a mismatch in many areas.

I expect Indy to play hard and tough, but I'd be shocked if we didn't win by 10 or so, as the team should be able to pull away in the second half for sure.

But I get what your saying. I really don't see ANY mismatch. They will have Aqib Talib playing in that game. I assume he will cover whoever Indy's #2 WR is...Dennard and DMac on Wayne. Tavon on the TE. I really think the way the secondary is starting to look might surprise people.

They sure won't have to worry about a running game, and I think I read earlier on NFL.com that the Colts lost 2 starting O Linemen due to injury, including the center.

Might be a rough day for ol' Lucky. :singing:

Suck may be too strong, they're sucking like hell right now though. Talent wise they might be mediocre. Their offense is horrible.

And everyone was shocked when they beat the Pats, for sure.

I guess this thread proves that the NFL was right to flex the game so it can be seen by a wider, national audience. This is clearly a rivalry that still inspires strong feelings, name calling, fact distortion and wishful thinking that borders on the delusional. In other words, the stuff of high TV ratings!

The thread made me reflect that, when the Brady era comes to an end, I hope that we are fortunate enough to see him immediately succeeded by a QB of Luck's calibre, at least as it's been evidenced to date. Montana to Young was the only HOF QB to HOF QB transition of the SB era, though it looks like Green Bay has probably duplicated the feat in Rodgers.

A decade passed between Staubach and Aikman in Dallas, 21 years between Bradshaw and Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh. The Colts had waited almost 30 years between Johnny Unitas and Peyton, the Packers 21 years between Starr and Favre. The Bills are still waiting (16 years since Kelly), as are the Dolphins (13 years since Marino).

Luck will be playing for another 12--15 years, if his health permits. If he lives up to the promise that he has demonstrated so far, I hope the Pats are in a position to give him a run for his money throughout his entire career.

Indy hasn't won a game by more than 5 points all season, has NOT ever scored more that 30.

Waste of typing to this guy. They will not win, they cannot score more than 4 TDs in a game, have only done it ONCE.

Worst part is, I live close to Louisville, KY. No where near Indy. (Well, about a 2 hour drive up north) I still catch crap anywhere I go.

I honestly wear pats gear daily: Hat, Visor, Shirt, Jersey...hell, even my wallet and Visa Extra Points card :rocker:

I don't care what this um.."fan" says, they are not very nice here, pure hatred. Wish I moved to Boston with my sister

Really? Tomato Tomaato? I don't know why,, you just are. That and the Vikings win I would imagine. Ask yourself why,,, not me. I'm not a psychologist, I can't explain why any Colts fan would try to trash talk on a pats forum. Lack of meds? Bump on the head? Recent car accident?
This is why I actually sympathize with your plight. Not every team can be as awesome as the Pats. I feel bad for the other teams. What you have to do is hold your head up high, and feel confident that in the next decade (or 2) , you have an opportunity to at least make headway, or even a dent.

It is really funny to have someone saying we haven't done anything lately, given that their team was the worst in the entire league while ours went to the Super Bowl. It would be nice to have someone who can at least start with a minimal kernel of credibility rather than these yokels.

However, I admit it will be sad when we stop attracting such Don Quixotes, as that will mean our dominance actually has faded.
