I don't think I've seen anything about him talking to other teams, even though Stallworth has. This leads me to believe that Gaffney may have a handshake deal to return to NE when he's 100%.

I dunno ... just a thought that'll get shot to Hell if he has visited other teams and I just didn't hear about it.

Reasonable thinking but with Gaffney not 100% healthy right now, visits and workouts probably would come later.

He's not going to want to work out for other teams until he's healthy, if at all.

I'm inclined to agree with this, maybe with homerish optimism. There are plenty of WR-starved teams and Gaffney had almost 1000 yards last year. We're seeing teams take chances with TO, Braylon Edwards, and Moss- potential locker room cancers who haven't sniffed 1000 yards in years. One thing is certain and it's that there's more to the Gaffney situation than meets the eye. Still, I think a team would sign him simply to put him on IR (using the new rule) until he's ready to go. If no one signs him in the next week, my money is on a return to the NEPs.

Gaffney will go where there is work and a team willing to sign him. He definitely isn't going to be sitting next to his red phone waiting for the Pats to call him.

I always love when players refuse to take money now and a job .
they prefer a secret handshake and sit at home.

Wait, that can't be right. I was just informed by the previous two posters that such a thing was beyond impossible.

They're clearly Insiders. You jealous bro?
