I am pleased to see the return of the screen play. Seemed to be practicing it heavy today.

Nice. RB screen specifically?

With Ridley earning more snaps I guess the screen makes sense.

(can you also tell me who autographs at the end of the practice)

Glad to hear, I love screens more than anything but my momma! :D

Sorry don't stick around for the autographs.

JOSH IS BACK; Josh is truly back!

I'm thinking the current stable of RBs who are all equally adept in the running and passing games is no coincidence, eh?

Tossing a TE screen to GRONK or Hernandez would be devastating to opposing defenses..

Or tossing it to Welker with Gronk and Hernandez out front..

I've masturbated to a screen play. True story

Wait until they sign the ol man #33 back again. I think Kev has one more year in him. Don't think he was fully over the knee injury last year and came back too early.

Ridley, Vereen, Woodhead and Faulk with Bolden on the PS.

Vereen this year is going to catch as many as Kevin Turner used to, except Vereen is going to take those catches to the end zone.

Meanwhile, Lloyd is going to open up the middle of the field for Welker, Gronk, Hernandez.

Woodhead is going to run for 800 yards on draws.

I don't see it, and I think that Faulk would be on the roster by now if it were likely. Maybe he'll be on the emergency telephone list if Woodhead goes down.

Curran, Howe and Bedard all had positive things to say about Bolden today, BTW, and about Vereen's pass catching. From Curran:

Brandon Bolden looks really, really fast. He threaded almost the entire length of the field on one return -- unscathed.

From Howe:

Running back Shane Vereen made a terrific catch on a wheel route. Brady lofted a throw over safety Steve Gregory, who jammed Vereen in the second level, but the running back released off the press to make the catch. Good bit of playmaking.

Running back Brandon Bolden showed some good hands while catching several passes during the session. He was surpassing expectations from that standpoint.

And from Bedard:

The more I see of undrafted RB Brandon Bolden, the more I like him. He did have a dropped pass, but he has nice body control and burst. Vereen showed himself with a nice over-the-shoulder grab that is difficult for a RB.

Nice to hear, especially about Bolden. A faster, more explosive version of BJGE with some pass-catching and return ability would be a terrific addition to the RB group.

The problem is they turned it into a ridiculous 15 yard lateral pass to a cutting Julian Edelman, who would either (a) drop it, (b) bat in the air for an interception, or (c), make the catch and fall down.

I was not too pleased that they seemed to get away from it after Josh left. It's a great tool in the tool box.

You know if you call that play successfully it's great to see the big shot Osi's and Tucks suck wind as they put on the brakes and head in the opposite direction, only to burn all that oxygen to come up empty.

Too bad I guess. I feel for them already.
