How ANY Pats fan could ever hate on Randy is beyond me.

Himself and his own emotions. Probably subject Niner fans to another one of these

Randy Moss Full Press Conference Video After Vikings vs Patriots Game 10-31-2010

Nobody's perfect and he let his emotions boil over into one mini-meltdown--so what? Post that PC til the end of time if that's what floats your boat. Moss was a warrior here for 3+ years.

And don't confuse the eventual negative effect Moss had on Brady the offense for lack of desire to win. Not his fault the O became one-dimensional.

I'm sure it wasn't much fun once he began his inevitable physical decline and defenses started figuring out how to shut down what had been massive production in his 3+ years here. He broke one of BB's cardinal rules and paid a high price.

"Hey coach, you dropped the ball on this one. We should have signed him"

-Wes Welker

That's actually midly amusing to me, must be the late night aspect.

In Welker's defense, it really wasn't the greatest thrown ball. If we're all going to pick on someone for outright dropping a ball, that isn't the kind of case that comes to mind.

It just so happened to be a key play in the game, that was full of a bunch of key plays; therefore, it gets looked at a lot. When you've got to twist and turn to extend your arms that way, it really shouldn't be considered that bad of a 'drop.'

Not making excuses, as the Giants were the better team that day, and earned their way to a SB win by impressively defeating both Green Bay and New England. That cannot be overlooked.

In all honesty though, if you were to tell someone that "Welker dropped the ball in a key SB play," I don't think they'd quite picture what actually happened.

That's because he was double-covered on every play for the entire game.

yeah, i remember aikman saying that hes never seen a safety as far back ever in a game.. it was like that for the whole game, but the moss haters forget about that..

its just a shame that some ppl here hate on moss after a record breaking year and 2 really good years, one playing with a back up qb and another playing with a hurt back and a separated shoulder and he never once made an excuse..

I wish Moss well in SF and appreciate the thrills he delivered when here in NE....

Makes me hope we draft the next Moss........ I can wish, can't I?

per Adam Shefter's facebook

Good for Randy....best of luck to him. From all reports he is in awesome shape...and hungry again. I still really wish BB had taken a flyer on him to bolster the offense when he knew Gronks ankle was done.....might have made a difference ...and certainly he is better than the jogging mannequin named Ocho, and branch
Anyways....good luck to Randy. He'll do well w/harbaugh.

I just hope they serve a good buffet in San Francisco...

but good luck Randy.

LOL. I also wish Randy luck and will be interested to follow how he does in SF. Seems like he finally realized when his skills decline, his attitude towards the "team" concept has to improve rather than erode along side his body.

Pats missed the boat. Second year in a row. :(

Maybe the Pats can get TO instead?

We still have Ochocinco and Deion Branch guys, we are all set.

Branch of Moss strait up?

Anyone?

If Moss makes San Francisco's roster then it makes the 49ers visit to Foxborough that much more interesting. A game between a team that almost won the NFCCG against the AFC champion already appears at this point to be one of the best games on the 2012 schedule; add in the Moss return factor and it may end up being the most hyped game of the season.

Eh, that is a long ways off. It could lead to a lot of hype but so many things can happen, who knows.

Well, I would definitely would have liked to have seen him wearing the Patriots uniform, but I'll be wishing Randy the best.

I think he actually would have been better off coming back to New England. He can be shut down as a top two option, but his real value would have been as a third or fourth weapon (think Jabar Gaffney in 2007).

I wonder how many balls Randy sees coming his way on a 28th ranked passing O.

Randy is doing the Pats a favor... San Fran may now be out of the running for a free agent wide receiver having taken the cheap short term approach with Moss.

That's only going to help the Pats by helping to keep competition and the price down should they be interested in other WRs like Lloyd or Wallace

I cannot wait to hear Jerry Rice's take on his team signing his version of the Antichrist.

Deal is apparently 1 year $2.5M with no indication of guaranteed straight cash homies plus $1.5M in additional unspecified incentives.

So much for those he'll play for minimum claims... That won't happen unless they cut him coming out of camp...if then. I hope they don't for the board's sake...

I hope he lights it up out there. But I really didn't want him back on the Pats, so I'm glad he found a landing spot away from Foxboro.

Excellent news!
Congrats Randy. I sincerely hope you enjoy the 49ers.
Now can we close these censored word roach like spreading Moss threads for good?
