Victor Cruz disses Patriots D-backs--All of them

That's a lot of talking from a guy who was an absolute nobody less than a year ago.

Yeah, and one who could return to obscurity at any moment. How many times have we seen a player burst on to the scene and then fizzle out before anyone could even blink? It's happened many times. I'm not saying that it will happen to him for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

cruz might not want to entice the people whose job it is to tackle him to the ground

i foresee some of these giants player leaving the game early, and NOT returning

Sigh. Why do people do this? Deliberately misrepresent things.

It's one thing for you to say it as a fan or analyst. It's another for the opponent to say it.

I mean, Baas sucks too, but I don't expect Wilfork to say it.

Look, you've already backtracked that he never said the "secondary sucks", yet now you're continuing with your (I didn't expect people to take it literally) inferences?????

Are you trying out for a job as a NY sports reporter?????

To be fair, our secondary does suck covering guys. Are they going to all of a sudden be better at covering receivers because Cruz insinuated they suck? What magical place is this?

Frankly, I have no idea what you're even referring to here.

What continuation? What are you talking about?

Yeah, if you want to blame me, I screwed up on the first one.

But this is the second time in 2 days you deliberately misrepresent what I wrote in my original post.

Here. very first post of this thread:

I totally understand why he would say that. I understand they've been bad.

I can't understand saying it in public.

So how is backtracking for me to say I can understand his feelings, but that it's quite another thing for a player to say it in public? There's no backtracking or contradiction there at all.

Just watched the replay of his interview with prime and he def didn't say the secondary sucked. He pretty much just says that they have a guy playing out of position and knowing that guy could be playing you we want to exploit that.

If anybody should feel slighted it's Julian Edelman. It's obvious they are going to attack him whenever he is on the field. Change the thread title to the entire Giants WR core dissing Julian Edelman.

As I've said before, Vince Young and Lady Tomlinson might point out to them that going after Edelman isn't necessarily the brightest of ideas. . . .

Who wouldn't salivate watching film of our secondary?

I think the Pats need to be more concerned with making good tackles.

Cruz (and even Nicks) do most of their damage on 10-15 yard passes, then ditch would-be tacklers and take it to the house.
I think this is more the story with the Giants receivers high yardage & TD totals, than getting behind the defense and catching it 30-40 yards downfield in stride.

As far as i've seen, Edleman has been a decent tackler, and Chung can lay the wood (so to speak). Only Sterling Moore worries me in this regard (after last weeks whiff)

So basically, just wory about Nicks getting behind you, and Whack the Crap out of Cruz and Manningham!

I skipped over a good chunk of this thread so forgive me if I missed this part, but I didn't hear him say that the secondary specifically "sucks" in that interview. That said, the secondary does have more holes in it than a strainer. We'll need the front seven and the pass rush to cover up for them again this Sunday and make their jobs a bit easier. If Eli has time in the pocket, he's going to pick them apart.

He actually engaged in a discussion with Primetime about which of the three would be SB MVP. He said he didn't care which one of them got it which is very magnanimous of him.

Football gods, are you paying attention?

Victor Cruz is who worries me on that Giants D...but we can take him away easily. Play Chung over the Top of Cruz. Devin Mc need to step up Bigtime on Hakeem Nicks...he is big enough to handle him. Mario Manningham is a one trick pony not as good as other two...play Kyle Harrington on him. Gaints TE's are sllllloooowwww...no threat there play right inthe hand of our LB's. Gants Offense is not nearly as good as advertised.

Frankly, cool. I feel better now.:D

I love it when people talk before. I leaves the reply, "Get it all out now, you won't be able to after the game."

I'd rather see Sterling Moore on Nicks than McCourty. At least Moore can play bump and run. McCourty is almost completely inept in that area. Leave him at safety and let him play with his eyes toward the ball, where he's most comfortable.

@Kontra: I know he seems lost in that area but i think it's more against small speedsters. I don't think Nicks is a burner and Devin needs to justify that First Round Selection.;):snob::D

You don't think Nicks is a burner? Haven't watched much Giants football lately then, huh? The last thing we need is to have McCourty matched up on Nicks. He would be absolutely abused. It would be a re-run of what Brandon Marshall did to him in Week 1.

Edelman finishes tackles well. I'm guessing they are talking about his ability to cover in space. I'm guessing when Eli meets with his Receivers and they turn on the tape they are looking at him in space and silently nodding. He will be targeted when McCourty moves to FS.

And just what was the end result of what "Brandon Marshall did to him in Week 1". Last I recall, it was still a Pats victory..

Yikes Nicks in Brandon Marshall's class... ok Sterling Moore it is.
