(aka how to kill 2 weeks before the bowl ?)

I had posted this gigapixel image of the Lucas Oil stadium before and now that it is the site of the Superbowl, I went to take a second look.

Lucas Oil Stadium - 8 January 2011

One thing that struck me was that there are 16 banners on the ceiling of the stadium and the text on the banners are hilarious. Division championships are one thing ... but, "1995 AFC Finalist" "2002 AFC Wildcard" "2000 AFC Wildcard"

I am all for motivating the crowd, but Com'on Man !

My question is, will they put these banners for display to the entire world on Feb 5th, or will they remove them ?

No. Anything specifically related to the host team has to be removed for the Super Bowl.

So they won't be raising their "#1 Pick: 2012 Draft" banner before the game?

LOLOL... wait, we're the "home team" according to other threads here

I say we insist they be replaced by real banners - AFC Championships and super bowls only -- The Patriots', that is.

:)

Yeah, probably best to leave that "16-0" banner at home. :bricks:
