dude... the draft is a crapshoot. y do you think we stockpile so many picks?

yeah our 2nd round record is BRUTAL... :( Don't let that 2nd round undermine every other round of draft. we do well overall

Your last sentence pretty much refutes your argument then doesn't it. Whether Molden makes it or not doesn't change the larger point that there are going to be players out there to help teams after the cut-downs.

Which goes to the point of evaluating drafts. It's a whole lot easier for a draft pick, especially middle and late ones to make a poorer quality team like the Bills or Bengals than an elite team. They may be good enough to play in this league, just not good enough for the team that drafted them. Look at Ted Larsen, cut last year and picked up by Tampa ( cut again?). On a Patriots roster that usually only has 11-13 spots turn over through the draft, trades and free agency, it's harder to make the 53 man roster than a team where a new coach may want to clean house...

Do you remember that guy that was here for a few years... cut by SD... we signed him... Rodney... Rodney someone... Harrelson? Something like that. Anyway, look #37 up and see how that turned out.

I'm not saying we will land another Rodney Harrison, but just because someone gets cut from one team DOES NOT mean that he cannot help another.

Wow. And how often does that happen. Usually the guys that are available are the Delta Oneal's of the world. Rarely is a Rodney Harrison available. And the Harrison's of the world are usually cut after the season for cap reasons, not at the final cuts.

Hey patsfan in pitt, someday u might want to quit being a homer and look at things objectively! There's a reason why this defense thas struggled and its lousy damn defensive picks in the draft! From Merriweather, Butler, Brace, Cunningham who has shown nothing!!!U want me to keep going on?

If they sign Andre Gurode, I'd cut Rich Ohrnberger. He was manhandled by the Giants in preseason..

SMY reports on tweeter that CB Molden is a lock to make the roster

Its a crapshoot but they have maded tons of mistakes in it.

Merriweather and Tate, for example

Glad to see Tate gone. Happy to see Price get a chance.

Tate was supposedly the Moss replacement as a deep threat.. He had a few very good deep catches, but, that is offset by many other plays which he could not get open..

Price has the height and the hands to be a good 2nd WR. He just needs more time on the field. 1st year he was out. I hope he gets more snaps...

Ocho is yet to be seen... IMO

I also hope they leave 1 or 2 openings for pickups/trade..

I love it we got Anquan Boldens 2nd cousin Antwuan Molden:p

I like the Molden move... he has 4.4 speed I am sure he can tackle Grandma Butler unlike Darius; Darius Butler he can't tackle ****.:p

That would be no reason to cut OhrnBerger.

OhrnBerger should be cut on general principle.

That joke will probably be funny someday.

Surprised to see Molden get added so late in the game and still make the cut-down... he must've shown a fair amount of promise.

And I'm very happy today with the releases of Meriweather and Tate. I had nothing against Tate personally (whereas I think Meriweather is a no-good punk), but he just wasn't a good receiver at all, and I was sick of people saying "give him a chance, give him a chance"... Jesus, how many chances does he need?

Me too. He dealt with preseason injuries, but was a 3rd round pick in '08, and is a big corner (6'1", 200 lbs). Intriging, and like you said must've shown some promise.

In BB we trust!

If Molden got in, then Butler might be on his way out.

Because Caserio was Director of Player Personnel from '04-'06, stepped down, then returned in '08, along with Reese.

Also Reese's track record is impeccable. He's drafted 3 ROY winners in 11 of his first round picks. His title is "Senior Football Advisor" and I don't think that's to be taken lightly.

Caserio was Director of PRO Personnel from '04-'06. Pioli was the VP of Player Personnel from '01-'08, those were his drafts. '09-'11 were Caserio's.
