With Clay gone, I'm officially 0 for seven years in the draft game.

I think you missed the part where they gave 3rd down conversions at a 48% clip. If last years defense is considered good, I'd hate to see what you consider a bad defense.

Last year's defense was considered very young and very injured.

Good thing we did not go down to 40% we might have gone 10-6 if that happened.

I like the TE

do we merely cut Crump or trade him:confused:

In my book, after he dropped that touchdown, he can go play with Vick again. Losers always find a way.

Am I the only one who got that he was making a sarcastic remark about how it's ridiculous nobody's chosen Herzlich despite the fact he didn't exactly catch a communicable disease (ie: the plague)?

Geez.

Horton Scores!!!!

2-1 Bruins 1 minute left in the 1st.

Between McCourty and Chung gaining experience, Bodden returning, and Ras-I Dowling joining the team, our defense should be much better in the secondary. Hopefully Merriweather is embarressed about last season and performes better as well.

The front seven should also be better due to Warrens return, and guys like Cunningham and Spikes being second year players. Maybe we will add an OLB or DE in free agency as well.

I am disappointed that we didnt go OLB or DE but I think the defense will be a lot better then last season. Then again, I am deff a homer.

I don't think communicable is the joke --- it's the infamous reputation of the black plague.

Wow, is that really how you feel about Crumpler?

Ive wanted herzlich on this team for what seems like months

Additionally one needs to remember that a two gap 3-4 is not an attacking defense. Opponents will naturally have more success moving the ball against it. Which is why the secondary is so critical to its success.

Remember. BB always says stats are for losers. The only stat that matters here is ppg against.

Be happy that we picked up a hellova player in the second round, Bodden is coming back and our kids got their lumps last season. This defense will never excite you with the flashy sack totals. They will just grind their opponent down and wait for them to make a mistake.

Geez.

It was just a comment on how he could have dropped so low. Obviously cancer is nothing to laugh about. Sorry to have offended. This is about the draft and not medicine so a simple explanation would have sufficed. Again, apologies to people that were offended.

It's not just the cancer scare, it's the stress fracture in his right foot.

Also he has shown a tendency to get beat in coverage too easily.
