These two coaches are former coaches for the Patriots and the ONLY guys who have ever been affiliated with the Pats.

Kirby was RBs coach for the Pats in the Pete Carroll era in the late 90s while Dom was assistant/defensive coach here just over a year ago

Amazing that on neither roster of this years Super Bowl entrants is one former Patriot PLAYER

Other than Vinatieri,Klecko and Gay...IIAC there has not been another player who has won a SB after leaving NE.

Heath Evans(was on IR though) and Fernando Bryant(he was in preseason  ).

Re: Dom Capers & Kirby Wilson

Wasn't Dave Thomas on the Saints last year?

Re: Dom Capers & Kirby Wilson

Forgot the IR list with Evans and I forgot Dave Thomas but after seeing this years group of TEs in New England who can help but forget the past TEs we had the past 8 years

The Patriots seem to have a good idea when it's a good time to let a player go (with some exceptions, obviously), but I'm willing to bet these lists look similar with any team in the class of the NFL (Indy and Pitt specifically). If I had more initiative, I'd look up how many current players have left those two teams and won a Super Bowl.

Mike Vrabel comes to mind. :)

Well, BB knows when to let players go. I was pissed about Lawyer Milloy and Deion Branch, but it seems like he gets them in their prime, hence their lack of success outside (Milloy's been great though)

Re: Dom Capers & Kirby Wilson

The backup TE for Pitt was in camp for NE if I am not mistaken.
