At least they won

At least we share the best record in the league, I think that's a pretty good place to be, eh?

That field goal would have been wider right it was a great stand by the d after the O failed and the coaching failed

Last week was an exciting, well-played battle. This week was butt-ugly. Whateva.

5-1! 5-1 with 6 rookie starters. 5-1 with UDFAs all over the field. 5-1 with Ty Warren, Leigh Bodden and Kevin Faulk on IR.

How the heck can you not be happy?

Im happy with our record but the way we just played is another story. The Chargers did everything they could to give us that game and we still almost let it go to OT.

This board is terrible after game, win or lose.

Never seen so many whine asses in my life.

They just won an NFL game on the road against a talented football team, after playing a very physical, 5 quarter football game last Sunday. Did anyone see how the Ravens played today against the Bills at HOME???

Get over it and enjoy the damn win!

I don't want to say we were lucky to win ... many good plays out there today and many by the Chargers as well.

I'd rather say ... we made 1 more good play than they did ... :p

It will be a great week to watch film.

dude, this is how we use to win.

The classic colts, jets, raven, etc were just like this.

Man i swear 2007 spoiled pATS FANS.

We do have the whiniest fans in the NFL. We take a young team cross country and all people want to do is complain. NEWSFLASH, were tied with the best record in the NFL with first and second year guys getting on the job training.
This is a wacky year, theres a ton of teams that cant find any consistency but we're consistent in finding ways to win and that's all that matters.

Winning ugly is still Winning

At the end of the year the only thing that matters about this game is that it is added to the left column

Last years team loses this game.

Exactly! the fact that this team is learning how to win and the defense is improving weekly bolds well for us.

Back to back road wins. Heading into the Miami game the same people *****ing today were saying they couldn't win on the road; now they are unhappy about how we won.

Unbelievable!!! :bricks:

difference is, I don't remember the Colts turning the ball over 4 times in 11 minutes two of which were complete gifts. I will give the Chargers defense a lot of credit but we weren't as sharp as I would have liked. A win is a win but Im not going to go around bragging about this one like last week.

I'd like to introduce everybody to the letter W. It's really something. It is symmetrical, it's upbeat, if you look at it right it looks like it can hold liquids, it's fun to pronounce, and it's found at the beginning of some of my favorite words, like whee, wee, willy, wonka, whack, and whatever. It's way, way better than the letter L, which is lopsided and is clearly for losers. I really suggest that everybody here give the letter W a shot because life sucks a lot more when you're stuck with a lot of Ls.

Especially Conferance games.

any road win is a good win..for those that know football

LOL you should brag

The d played great
the offense did just enough to win
and the team played with swagger of a champion

The pats will come together

remember it took the pats 2 years to on the road

If we had lost it would of been a song about how lousy the Pats play on the road. We beat a team that was statisticly better than anyone in the Nfl. {Although I can see why they are 2-5, they are the dumbest team in the nfl.} I'm happy with it but also recognize they still have some learning and correcting to do.

It wasn't Brady's best game but it wasn't his worst either. I thought his movement in the pocket just about saved the day for this team. The offensive line was manhandled and hopefully they can make some adjustments.

Again, hard fought ugly win. Get used to it, we still got some tough games on the schedule ahead.

are you happy with the way we played?

As a team, yes. At times parts of the team didn't play well but overall, yes.

But apparently around here at times:
- When a play goes your way it's always because the other team screwed up, never because you did something right.
- When a play goes the other team's way, it's always because you screwed up, never because they made a good play.

Biggest problem was our offensive line which allowed Brady to get hassled all day, and couldn't make holes for our RBs.

We didn't win this game, the Chargers lost it.

I'll take the road win but neither team "deserved" it...... Chargers made a plethora of mistakes, errors, stupid penalties and over-the-top gaffs. The Patriots should have been leading at LEAST 23-3 at the half and were pathetic on offense, but played well enough to win comfortably in the second half before having it given to them on a missed, and very easy field goal miss......

Weird game, but like I said: I'll take the win. Wonder how many posters here thought they would be 5-1 at this point? I sure didn't when we lost so many starters... All and all a big: Meh!

You sound like an opposing fan/player from 2003. The Pats didn't win 17 games the other team lost 17 times.
