Vikings vs. Jets Thread

Let the Jets fans enjoy it. I highly doubt any of them are naive enough to think they won that game. I mean, that's a pretty bad case of homerism if true. Defense played like **** against a hapless, befuddled foe. Offense looked questionable in second half.

Jets fans are probably feeling lucky and thankful right about now.

Jets were dominant early on.

They're 4-1. They deserve some credit.

agreed ...but NOT Mark Sanchez...and I don't want to hear it...he cannot throw to his left...he goes 3 and out after a runback to the Vikes 17...jeezus, even Matt Leinart could drive it in from there....7 or 8 possessions inside the opponent 50 and he nets 5 field goals, with all the new weapons intact....the Jets have a very good team...they have a disaster waiting to happen at QB

Yeah. As a Vikes fan..we had no business winning this one. Our offense didn't show up until the final 17 minutes or so. We had a -3 turnover margin. We gave up the most rushing yards vs any opponent in at least 3 seasons. And we still had a shot to win it. Brett Favre brought us back when we should have been done, and he lost it for us. It's hard to blame the guy when he was the biggest reason for us having a chance to win (other than the remarkable D forcing FGs obviously).

Rex looked like he was trying to lose at around 2 minute mark. Brain fart?

No, that pass was the right play call - just poor execution by Sanchez snapping too early. There was a 2 second differential between the play clock and the game clock time to the 2 minute warning. If Sanchez snaps the ball at "1" on the play clock, the incomplete pass happens at the 2 minute warning (so stopping the clock with an incompletion doesn't matter). It's the right call there, since its the play that gives you the best chance at converting a first down, and there should be no downside.

Like 4th & 2

Mark Sanchez has not turned the ball over this season, Good running game, Good D, lots of up side.

Vikes are a good team.

Jets are ticking all the boxes early in the season. They're a very good side and probably the class of the AFC atm.

a win is a win is a win....good outcome for you, Guns...we'll see ya soon enough

Anyone who thinks that pass was the wrong call probably also thinks that calling with an inside straight draw is the right call if the river card ends up filling your hand. A call is right or wrong based on the facts known before it's made, not based on the result.

Pass was the right call there. 4th and 2 was probably a toss up, the way your respective O and D had been playing.

Sexy Rexy throwing Sanchez under the bus, nice

Thanks - but I'd put us about half a rung below Baltimore and Pittsburgh right now.

Thats the story of Bret Farvrah, he'll get you to the brink and blow it.

You watch the whole game? The Vikes handed that one over despite the Jets effort to let them in the game.

I don't know. Maybe I'm biased (born and raised in Mass) but that looked to me like a Viking blowout victory with anyone other than Favre at QB.

Jets are good but Sanchez looked bad and the D looked bad against a senile QB with a bad elbow ...

Call me a hater.
