Just got through watching Belichick's 11:45am presser...

- Said there has never been any discipline issues with Moss in the four years he has been here and that the Miami halftime outburst and plane incidents are complete media fabrications.

- Said Moss was a pleasure to coach and that the team decided to move on for a "combination of reasons".

- When asked if Brady had lobbied on behalf of Randy he said that Brady has no input on personnel decisions.

Interesting stuff...

So if Randy is all of that why did they trade him four games into the season?

For a "variety of reasons".......

The media tried to draw him a few times on that one... In typical BB fashion, he kept his answers short. He pretty much said it was for a "combination" of reasons and felt like it was in the best interests of the team moving forward.

I think this falls under the heading of not being quite truthful.

As if he would tell the media what really happened.

We will get the real story (according to Randy) when Randy gives his presser in Minn today.

Ummmm, in BB we trust and all, but methinks he's a tad downplaying things.

It's not like BB went on a bender Tuesday night and said "Hey, let's shake some shiz up and trade our HoF WR to minny for a bag of footballs. That would be a hoot"

Wait, you believe the media is telling the truth?

:bricks:

Bill said Linda Holliday said to trade Moss ... Bill said he knew she meant it.

He clearly didn't want to throw Randy under the bus. Needless to say, a move for a variety of reasons would likely include such outbursts.

Much respect for Belichick for not defaming Moss, even though dozens of reports indicate that Moss had morphed into a douche....

I don't really believe any of these things. It's possible one or more are true, but for BB, it's more important to move on than to look like the good guy. He'll never bad mouth a player on his way out the door, no matter how difficult he was at the end.

Not necessarily, but given the press conference we ALL saw and the way he was acting in plain view on Monday Night Football I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, as it usually is.

I don't get some of the posts in this thread questioning why BB isn't listing publicly the reasons why the Patriots moved Rany Moss out.

Do you ACTUALLY expect him to diss a player that the Pats are playing against in a few weeks?

Please list for me all the reasons for BB to do that.

Do you really think randys going to say "yeah i was a complete azz hole to everyone the other night"?

But was Giselle OK with it? Word up was she thought Tom was 'a little too close' with aptly named Randy

This is one of the negatives when bill is your coach, we have Jo idea whole lying and who is being truthful

I can just as easily believe the plane story just as much as what bb is saying right now

I rally hope this guy writes a book some day, I would b one of the first waiting to read it

To me I heard something else and here is BB quote on confrontations with Randy.

"There never has been one with me in four years"

See I read that there was confrontations just none with BB.
