OT: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

On top of that, his interior offensive line isn't getting any younger... and neither is he.

And the legendary Howard Mudd announced he was retiring after this game...although Polian will probably try and convince him to triple dip...

Has anyone seen the Peyton wheaties add that keeps airing on NFL Network "prepare to win"

Lmao I love ESPN.

Tom Jackson comment at 1:00P.M "Peyton Manning is the GOAT and head and shoulders above Brady."

10:45 "I was about to put Peyton as the GOAT, now, he is behind Brady. He is a quarterback with a 9-9 playoff record, Wow."

Deion just said "he choked", and his peers started coughing and tried to cover for him and then talk him out of it but he said it's a choke, he threw a pick 6 choke...just like...FAVRE

Weren't they saying that Moore might ride off into the sunset as well? Not that it really matters though. We all know who the real OC is on that team.

The sun's going to shine a little brighter tomorrow an the air's going to taste a little sweeter...Peyton Manning choked in the Super Bowl.

Quote of the Day! Can I use this as my Sig? haha

I'm loving NFL Network tonight, Deoin Sanders and Michael Irvin are totally trashing Peyton and saying how he choked again and 4 MVP vs 1 Superbowl looks bad but they aren't surprised because its just another choke, wow just wow life is sweet right now.

That's why I love Deion. He is not afraid to tell it like it is.

I wonder how Marshall Faulk feels now. In the morning, he was proclaiming Manning as a god-like figure that has blessed football. Ouch...Faulk now has to admit, Brady is better.

Yeah, supposedly both were just coming back for this year. Did you notice who made the call to go for it on 4th and 2 -same guy who made those decisions when Dungy was the HC.

I think Sean Payton said something to the effect that when Dungy said the Colts wouldn't lose this game he figured they had them right where he wanted them...LOL

I haven't stopped smiling for almost 2 hours. I never smile watching a SB we aren't in. This is tremendous. The Wheaties people must be distraught...that stupid commercial about Peyton and his winning wheaties keeps playing...

Since there appears to be Colt fans on the board tonight, I want to give a shout out to the Colt fan who I saw at Niagra Falls this summer. I wished him luck this season and he flipped me off. How about them Saints!!!!!!!!! Oh, and GFY!

The very definition of "Poetic Justice" was on display tonight. After refusing to take a shot at the perfect season, we get a visit from the Peyton Manning of old to throw the game away. Perfect.

Oh and if anyone hears where the Colts Superbowl XLIV Champions t-shirts are going, can you PM me. I would to get my hands on one.

Peyton Manning is now 9 - 9 in the playoffs in his career.
A 500 Quarterback.

Even when they won 4 games and the superbowl, Manning had 3 touchdowns and 7 interceptions that year.

He is a regular season superstar and mediocre at best in the playoffs.

But but but his defenses have always been crap, every INT he's ever thrown in the post-season has been on the receiver, the other team cheated...

WAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

It is a very damning statistic which I do believe to be unfair on his play, however.

Manning barely outplayed REX GROSSMAN in that game. And had Rex not thrown that pick six in the 4th quarter.... the Bears may have been Champs that year.

They can have there most regular season, 4 mvps and 1 superbowl that was pretty much taken from us in one of the worst refed games of the decade.

I'll take the most overall wins of the decade including playoffs. Our 3 superbowls, the 16-0-18-1 season {which didn't end with a pick from our qb. He actually got them the lead with 4 minutes remaining Hey, atleast they tried to go perfect.} And just the one lowly mvp season from Brady which happens to have the record 50td's attached to it.

@RaheemBrock: Respect to the Saints! The out played us today.....But! Some things that happen in the game makes me question some things!

.. Apparently Raheem no longer thinks that Manning is the best player ever either! ;)

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

Until Manning wins nexts year's SB.

Wow - what a bitter, angry fanbase New England's has become...

I'm not bitter or angry. We have 3 superbowl wins and the BEST quarterback in the NFL. :) You have a guy who chokes in the playoffs and has only won a single SB. And he probably wouldn't even have that one if he wouldn't have played a team like the Bears. :p

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

I totally agree. This should put the "Manning is the greatest ever" talkers at bay and bring back the Manning Apologists.
Already has.

Re: Official Peyton Manning choke thread

This choke makes me so pleased to have TB as our QB. Hell in the big game I will take big ben over Manning
