our silly coach is the brightest football mind of our days,and he doesn't play the media games( ala herman edwards, Shottenhiemer, and others), so they despise him as much as he despises them.

I remember the Colts-Bears game. Seems like the worst thing that could of happened was Hester getting that opening kickoff TD as the Bears never were able to get the pace up. I also remember that as being the first time my wife, then girlfriend, hosted our first SB party. I think 12 people confirmed, 2 showed up. I can't wait for the Colts to lose (the Madden 10 sim of the game said so) so I can see a SuperBowl "Manning Face"...:rocker:

EDIT-The final score in the Madden sim is 35-31 with everybodies favourite TE, David Thomas getting the winning score.

I have healthy respect for Peyton Manning..... but.......it's become disgusting the amount of coverage Peyton Manning is getting here on the sports networks, in particular ESPN. They're all building him up like he's never been confused by a defense and works them out with consummate ease. I guess the media has short memories when it comes to Peyton Manning.. the same quarterback I watched the Patriots rape year after year in the play-offs.

You could be forgiven for not knowing anyone else is playing in this game other than Peyton Manning.

As for anyone thinking about not watching Sunday, I don't see how you can be a fan of the NFL and not watch the Super Bowl no matter who is playing. I haven't missed one since they started playing it.

I live in Western Australia which is normally 2 hours (3 hours for daylight saving) behind the east coast. The coverage will start around 7AM I would think.

Put it this way, a 1PM Sunday Foxboro game is a 2AM Monday morning wake up for me to watch the Patriots.

The Superbowl is the Superbowl. You have to watch it no matter what, just like the Australian Rules or AFL Grand Final is to Australians.

Yes, you are the only person I know who won't be watching the Superbowl. I love NFL football and this is the last hurrah until September!

Plus, there is some intrigue. What if the Saints pull off the upset? What if we get to see Manning crying all game to the refs and then walking off with his helmet on!? This could be good stuff! I wouldn't miss it. And, if it turns into a blowout in the 1st half, at least I'll have a bunch of good friends, good food and good wine to keep me company!

Just my opinion, but anybody that does not have to work nor has any other event pulling them away from the TV (like a loved one in the hospital) is simply lying to themselves and lying to the board. I guaruntee that each and every one of you, at some point or another, will be in front of the TV watching the Super Bowl. You may not watch the whole thing, but you will watch it at some point.

Besides, there's no reason not to watch it this year. The Saints are too easy to root for. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back into my hole.
