Red uniforms in London?

From an American perspective. We've only been around a couple hundred years... when you have over a thousand years of history to go over, it does kinda lose its significance.

The first time I ever heard about the revolutionary war was during an episode of the rugrats. I had no idea why the British and the Americans were fighting!

Like the other guy said...history during school consists of the monarchy until you get to 14 where you then spend the next 3 years learning about the world wars, american great depression, wall street crash etc.

no its true, we dont get taught American history at all. Unless you deciede to take history on after the age of 14. Not really an important part of our history...

You think it's better there? They even ask what language we speak here.....in England.....

At school I learnt about the Roman Empire and as we went on we did cover the British Empire. Early on here it's mainly about the Tudor and Victorian era's and once you reach high school a massive bulk of it is spent in detail on the two world wars.

Didn't the British wear red?

And pardon me for saying this, but I'm not real excited about the prospect of reliving the whole "red jersey" era.

Like the 1981 Red Sea Defense?
