Should Rodney be brought back?

Out of curiosity, do you guys think we should part ways with Rodney? Two plays stand out for me: 1) He allowed Kevin Boss to gain 40 yards in the Super Bowl on the Giants first TD drive (should have been held for 10) and 2) He wasn't able to knock the ball out of tyree's hands/helmet. We held the giants to 3 points through 3 quarters, then Rodney's play dropped in the 4th.

DOn't get me wrong, I absolutely love the guy and his heart.

I love Rodney for everything he has done for this team but how many games can we actually count on him being able to play if we do bring him back?

Yes bring him back, especially with Vrabel being gone now......we need him more than ever in that locker room keeping guys heads strait. He might not get as many snaps as Meriweather or Sanders, but he can make a difference.

After his injury im not sure if he will come back!! if he does great if not i would love to see him come back to New England as a secondary coach!!

If Harrison want to come back, Belichick will welcome him. It is hard to imagine a better #9 defensive back than Harrison.

Honestly, I think Rodney would be best served by just retiring AND that has nothing to do with the Tyree play. I take comfort (well, as much comfort I can) in knowing that the Tyree play was really just a super human effort by Rodney. Rodney did everything that he or anyone else could be expected to do to break up that play. Again, it was just superhuman effort by Tyree.

I think it's obvious...Rodney's call.....and if he wishes to return...so be it...if he wishes to retire.fine. I think he would be great to help the backfield and the locker room..with Vrabes gone.

It depends who else they have. If it is only Sanders, he started over Sanders last year, but Sanders' new contract looks like starter $ to me.

If he wants to come back, we should welcome him. If he doesn't want to play, he should be offered a place on the coaching staff. He's an exceptional player and an exceptional man and he brings both tangible and intangible value.

Love Rodney, but 2008 was a slow defense. Vrabel was cure #1. Rodney retiring is unfortunately cure #2. ( Not ready to give up Bruschi although he is the worst offender.............he's my binky )
