lightingbolts and other 'classy' SD fans on our board. your team saved us a manning bowl. i thought norv turner called a great game generally except for the last series in the regulation. if it wasnt for the the turnovers you might have made the job easier for yourselves.

Re: Congrants and thanks Bolts fans

Logically speaking, the Bolts should have won this game by 17 points.

SD 30, NWE 10 in week 5
Ind 18, NWE 15 and that due to a Jabar Gaffney drop and a PF on the game winning drive.

So the Bolts committed two red zone TO's and took 14 points off the board. But Indy committed two defensive fouls in OT and SD cashed in.

One Manning down and one to go. Hopefully, the Eagles are up to the task.

Chargers/Colts games are always nail bitters. I probably age a few years from watching each of them due to all the stress, lol. Thankfully we won though.

I still remember Chargers fans being unbearable two years ago. But them making the Colts one-and-done for two years in a row, I have to give props to the team. Congratulations Chargers fans!

Thanks man. You know a Manning bowl would be worse than the Chargers making the super bowl.

yeah, it was a great game, win or lose, I would have been proud of this team. I think I aged like twenty years though :D

You're preaching to the choir here, friend. I think I've lost a decade from the Pats in the last year alone:) Congrats on the win! Well deserved!

I could stand seeing San Diego making the SB. An All-Manning SB would make me want to jab an ice pick in my head, lol.

Thanks man. Yea, the Patriots superbowls and playoff games this decade have almost all been nail biters. But, you got it done in the end and that's what matters. I figure next week will be a nail bitter for us again if we play the Steelers; Chargers/Steelers games tend to go that route as well.

Yes congrats I was rooting for them.

Yes, thanks SD for stayin' classy and beating Peyton :)

LOL. Same here. The two weeks leading up to the super bowl would be non-stop Manning hype. Thankfully, we stopped that from happening.

We feel that one! This is the most relaxed I've felt as a Pats fan since they won their last SB. Otherwise it's a R-I-D-E for sure! Congrats and enjoy the win! :)

Great game, SD. Thank you for exposing the MVP (again) as a choker.

I hope the Chargers go all the way. For some reason I really want to see an 8-8 team win the Super Bowl.

But more importantly I just really really really don't want to see Pittsburgh, NYG, or the Ravens to a lesser degree win it all.

you guys really hate manning huh?
Not as much as we hate Polian.

Actually I think most here have a lot of respect for Peyton Manning and consider him to be a very talented, HOF-worthy player. However, we also feel the media overdoes it in the praise and attention they heap on him - i.e., consider him over rated. He's the forehead, I mean face, of the team that has competed with the Pats for best in the AFC more often than any other team this decade.

The fans have pride in the team as well as the players on the team, so we'd like to see 'our guy' win those never-ending Brady-Manning debates. Even though they're not in our division, they used to be, and many consider the Colts to be our biggest rival. It's like those bumper stickers you see "my favorite team is (team x) and whoever is playing (team x's rival).

Unfortunately your Falcons don't have that same level of rivalry due to the NFC South being a relatively new division. Atlanta has only been playing Tampa Bay since 2002 and Carolina since 1995. The Saints and Falcons have played each other much longer, but the two teams have never been good at the same time. Hopefully the NFL will leave your division intact and let those rivalries develop.

Yes, definitely some congrats are in order Charger fans. Next step: take out the Steelers. Since we aren't in the playoffs, your team is now our missile and I hope Pittsburgh is up next. Big Ben and his apple sauce brain need to be exited from the playoffs.
